Feel that ADVFN should require all posters to categorise their comments under either
1. Why I bought
2, Why you should buy
3. Why I sold
4. Why you should sell

- this might encourage posters to think of themselves as more investors rather than hostages to misery

- just a thought

I would also contend the use of the word interesting. For much of my time here it has been far from it. Case in point last year.

I look upon my investment in AAU rather like a mystery excursion where only the driver knows the destination but the passengers are guaranteed a very interesting and eventually rewarding journey once they have learned to sit back and trust the driver. It's not everyone's cup of tea though, but it suits me. For those who would prefer to drive their own coach, there are plenty of alternatives available out there.

Not to be pedantic but anyone reading your post in isolation would surely conclude that's what you mean..

I can't see any scenario where a company founder and CEO would take a demotion to technical director. (unless they are taken over of course)

huffster,

No one has ever said get rid of Kerim. He should be technical director, not all-powerful CEO. Again, IMO.

In that case the majority of AIM company CEO's would be out of a job. Look at the All AIM 3 year chart. hxxps://www.hl.co.uk/shares/stock-market-summary/ftse-aim-100

Getting rid of Kerim is the worst idea I've ever heard. In my opinion!

If a FTSE100 CEO and Chairman had delivered a falling share price to its investors for three consecutive years, do you think they would both still be in place ? Yet we must indulge Kerim because he is a first class geologist.

Newmont invested less than the contents of their petty cash, probably have a lot of them. Slightly different for us.

Must be due WTR news soon?
This is Biggles update from November MM.
.
WTR - newmont took a 4% steak in AAU and the proceeds 2.5m being spent over five years however due to the finds they are really ramping up their spend and if successful they set up another joint co and newmont spend a million then next stage is newmont buy into this new co up to 75% by spending fifteen million dollars on exploration before AAU spend anything. Exact terms were in rns couple years ago . Point here is they are ramping up spend on drilling results sound good to me.

When I had my first foray in AAU I had a 1 year old kid, they're now 20 year old adult! I often question my sanity here!

my first foray into AAU was just before their last cash raise a few years ago. I recall that there had been a series of calls and there was general dissatisfaction that KS had handled them poorly and the dilution was more than it need have been.Could this have led to him being reluctant to raise cash since, to his going the Ozaltin route, and to the "delay" in Tavsan? In the main I prefer companies which are self financing., but they need to provide a surplus eventually that can be distributed to shareholders. In the meantime it is important that the share price reflects well the real value of the company so that existing shareholders can make a reasonable exit prior to the the point at which the profits really start to flow.

Final blame, if there is one, is never on bod. It is on the (big) shareholders

Appologist do lots of harm for wrong reasons....

The main unknown is the reasonable time for the cash back... many are ok with decades. Many want it back in 5 years....

And here we can have a look at what the competitors are doing AND what the markets are offering

Not discussing crux - decisions first, then people could be described as polite, manners, etc

But is simpy weak imho in the frame of creational capitalism. Discussing decisions is done in a good spirit. So there is iteration loophole of improvement. So all deserving participants gain from better decisions, operations, organisation....

And shareholders acting is their supreme responibility. After reaching a conclusion as the result of discussions. Based on time, facts, results, decisions made and persons.

And only at this point the size of the shareholders matters imho. What parts of discussions are taken further into action by the shareholders.

When i saw majority of the big shareholders mood i stopped buying as much as i first intended.

Their right having the votes. Full respect.

Shareholders responsibility is not just for themselfs but for all. As their gain is the last to be distributed. So all will gain due to SHAREHOLDERS ACTING ON IMPROVING THE WHOLE ABOVE CHAIN IN REVERSE.

How i see it... i give money and i expect it back and then some after tax in a reasonable time period... of xxx ... enter it

Cash back depends on - bod - persons of bod - decisions and acts of bod persons

If i do not get cash in time i start discussions about their decisions, progress ... Bod persons making decisions. so i get my mony back by changing modus operandi
