Coachsailor - I'm up for a meet in London given the opportunity. I have a health problem so it's a bit hit and miss but I'll do my best.

My first buy of Arians was just 50,000 on 17 Jun 09 at 3.25 after being impressed when meeting Kerim at the Ariana stand at a financial show in London. His assistant, possibly his sister, was dressed in an appropriate gold coloured dress. I doubled up a month later at 2.8 and continued to buy more as it descended.

Similar to Biggles, recognising the potential, I kept topping up again after the price had descended from 6p to below 5p and continued to do so as it fell further down to 2.275p. Currently just below 4 million and at slightly above break even.

Between our regular posters, we seem to have quite a substantial holding and long term also, so worth the effort of a meet up perhaps at the next AGM or an earlier opportunity should present itself.

A bit of a reversal :-

I don't have the firepower of Biggles, owning a mere one million.

My best was 0.775 Pence 11th Nov 2014. First purchase was 22 June 2011 for 4.16 p and sold 17th August 2011 for 6p. Then watched for two years then added strongly from then with last trade 10 minutes ago at 2.88p. As I say anything below 3p has to be a steal over next 12 months.

I have traded over the years but bought most of mine fortunately at 0.08p. All mine have been free carry for quite some time. So actually the current price is fine by me especially if 5.5p by year end and circa 14p by 2025.

Thought I might finally make my first post with Plas’ interesting game - after a decade-odd of reading these forums with interest.

I first purchased in mid-2008 at a touch above 5p and averaged down over the following years. With rather fortuitous adding during the sub-1p era, I’ve managed to accumulate xx million (though not quite to Biggles levels).

No doubt I’ll be one of the many with not entirely insignificant holdings who rarely, if ever, post.

This was when I came on board biggles, 0.9p was my first main buy, I sold my entire first holding at 1.8p and was basically sitting with free shares for some time. Topped up on the way up to 3p and have sold bits and bobs since, sitting in a decent place still hence being comfortable with patience.

Mine was on 2nd November 2016. Despite having closed out 10 trades at a profit (my best was 40% from 17th June 2020 to 30th July 2020), I have 7 open positions all nursing losses of 40%+.I currently hold 1.2m shares at an average cost of 3.7p, which includes the profit on those previous trades and the dividends.

Think we're entering a whole new ball game now Plasybryn from when you purchased them back in the days.

Back then Ariana didn't have half of what's around now, things are coming to fruition, WH Ireland have done a very detailed job on dissecting their prospects and what lies ahead, and we are currently trading at less than half what they perceive as "fair value".

Back then gold was riding high, then went into a 10 year pullback, only now looking to push through $2,000. This time though the fundamentals, not just for AAU but the gold price and the world economy are totally different.

We have here a little gem that's finding gold and silver in ever larger quantites, with plenty more positive findings and news to come.

Whereas back then 3p or so was an accepted price level, now it's plainly ridiculously cheap.
