It seems a great opportunity missed to me. Why not spell it out what the aim is and what this means potentially for the Co. Something like - our aim is to extend the life of mine at Kiziltepe and this latest work suggests we can. This means with Tavsan our second mine up and running later this year, we could have 2 mines in production for X years to come. Potentially these 2 mines will produce over 50,000 ozs of gold a year and X ozs of Silver, of which 23.5% is attributable to Ariana.

Thanks Biggles. Can we get a breakdown of what happened to the $37,5m proceed? Circa 50% of net proceeds were to be distributed. Dividend was circa $10m which meant there were circa 17.5m of costs (inclusive of original acquisition costs) related to the deal. What is the remaining balance of the funds?

Thanks

Exactly that Charles.
They kept quiet so long on Salinbas leaving shareholders to make their own minds up for the reason for the 13month wait for assays causing unnecessary angst. Turned out all it wanted was a simple explanation which could have been given much sooner imo.

Biggles - I think the main object of the exercise must be to encourage the directors to understand that shareholders matter. It's OK to keep us in the dark on certain matters like takeovers and acquisitions in the negotiating stages, but we are an important cog in the wheel. Without our support, the company wouldn't be where it is today, and imho Kerim shouldn't forget that. So involve us a bit more where possible please.

thinking about your effort - it will be very important in what channel form the answers will come back

hence it is important in what formal form the questions will be asked

but I have no clue ... just a thought on importance of the channel used for asking ...

im experience the weakest links are non executives ... they are mostly very soft creatures ... when we were doing it ... when they start thinking about questions and their role in life .. they start acting

I am totally with you on that post Soulsauce. I also want to know if they have judged their decision to sell off (give) our assets to Ozaltin a success. Presumably they had expectations - have those been fulfilled and if not why not. I will have many others if course, but for now thank you Biggles as a major loyal shareholder for starting to make waves. We need a tsunami or something rather big up someones backside.

You may have noticed I also asked some questions about Silvova and Apliki, I just didn't wrap them in a thorough slagging of all things AAU!

Pow, Bres, Est, Afp, Glr to some extent. Is that enough?
Maybe it escaped your notice Shortarm but bigglesbingham asked for questions. You can happily bury your head in the sand if you wish but do you really think the status quo is acceptable here.
Fair play to bigglesbingham for trying to do something about it.

Soul, you are very unhappy here and at PALM and at KAV, is there a board where you are happy and full of the joys of spring? I'd like to read that board!

The main questions won't differ much from those raised at the last Q&A and the one before it.
Why don't the BoD adequately promote this company?
Why do we persist with a broker that does the same?
Why is BoD not strengthened and Chairman position refreshed?
Why aren't shareholders appraised adequately of attainable goals?
Why have you distanced yourself from shareholders and put up barriers where most companies try to engage with shareholders?
And lots more. All the questions raised at the Agm last year that was shut down without fully answering.

BB, thanks for you time in trying to get our concerns answered. As I have said before, I am not overly concerned with the progress the Company is making, having been in this share for around 12 years and met Kerim on several occasions I have faith that all is going well and eventally we will reap the rewards of our investments.
My concern is the start date for regular dividends, being a pensioner on fixed income from my private pensions and the increased cost of living, I need to supplement those with dividends from my investments and Arians being one of my larger holdings it is becomming more important. My worry is that profit from the two mines will be used to build a third at Salinbas or for other investments and not returned to us shareholders
As you have said before, I could sell a few AAU shares to raise funds but at today's undervalued price that would be madness.

Market Cap is now about equal to the cash in the bank plus one years profit when Tavsan comes online!
