Suppose the question now is...given the need for self funding of the new plant is there any cash left to enable a divi this year?

I see there is no comment like this in this statement:-

"With value upside evident across all arms of the Company, 2022 is set to be a fantastic year for Ariana."

Now is that because Kerim set himself up to fail last year or is 2023 going to be even more boring than 22?

Young Soul, I like that JD, although I am looking at being young in the rear view mirror ;-)

Apparently when we finally get an update on Salinbas it will only be from the inital phase:-

-- Two diamond drilling rigs are operating across the Salinbas Project, with results from the initial phase of drilling due to be announced soon.

Jeezo!! I think the initial phase completed around Feb last year so going on that the drilling that is currently being done at big H we will not know results before the end of the year - sigh!!!

My earlier suggestion that the share price chart is in the early stages of repeating the Oct18 -Oct 20 pattern still holding true.

:-)

On the face of it a good update though still paucity of indications about what is happening at Salinbas. lets hope 'shortly' isn't another 12 months or more.
As for the rest I think young Soul has summed up all I would have said, we do seem to think alike. 'In addition, the option to acquire an interest in the Apliki Mine lapsed at the end of December' was a big downer for me. AAU is a 50% shareholder in Venus, surely they could have prevented that. I would still like them to take 100% control of Venus if the the resources are as good as we suspect. The trouble is that with the movements is metal prices Apliki may become attractive to other parties if Venus drags its feet any further.

That's why I said the quoted spread. It's been a tough market and nobody has FOMO. Most wise investors are putting liquidity before opportunity right now, and if they see 3.1 v 3.5 don't bite the bulletBecause in the end, the MMs only have to buy the NMS at their quoted price

Think it's more 3:39 to 3.28 but won't be too long before it's 3.28 to 3.19 ha ha

Production attributable to AAU :

2020 50% x 18,645 = 9,323

2022 23.5% x 28,421 = 6,679 = -28.4% on 9,323

2022 @ 50% x 28,421 = 14,211 - 6 679 = -7,532

-7,532 / 23.55% = 32,051 of additional production per annum to get back to 50% share of 2022 production.

How quickly is that going to happen? Having assay grades would help determine that.

In this market few will buy with a quoted spread of over 10%. Simple as that

HOORAYYYYYY!! Finally an update.

Well done to the Ariana team for knocking it out of the park at Kiziltepe. Great figures. The new production facilities have certainly proven worthwhile.

Tavsan well the assumption is that we are still running to plan for Q3 production but still nothing on funding. However if we can continue to pay for it out of JV funds all well and good as when production starts it's all gravy. It would be nice to know one way or the other.

Salinbas well we are promised an update shortly, so as we bear down on 15month since drilling started we are going to get something. Good to hear two drills are turning and we are exploring the big H.

Venus/Cyprus, nothing to see here is the way I read it except on Apliki which is concerning that it has not been automatically renewed. It would be a travesty if they lose it because Venus/Ariana couldn't cobble something together to get things moving while Venus IPO.

But even with the good numbers on Kiziltepe there is little interest. Hopefully it will dawn on the mgt at some stage of the need to promote this more and have a broker to do that to the rank and file.

Roll on the Salinbas news.

Salinbas - nice teaser of an update. The big one we are all here for - well me anyway.

But also Kitziltipe and Tavsan without external funding - great position to be in - even if not what was planned.Long may it continue.

Good to get an update. It looks as though Mr Market either has not woken up to these or is still yawning. What will it take to switch on the share price rocket boosters? Gla.

They set a JORC target of an ADDITIONAL 2.7m oz based on what they knew at the time. Kerim may not be overly talkative but he is not geologically incorrect :-D

AAU loaned Venus £500k for the advancement of the Apliki project. Remains to be seen what gives on that one.

Great to see that they have now started drilling at the Hizarliyayla Prospect, didn't expect to see them that far south until the late summer, take a look back at the 2017 RNS that covers this prospect and you will see why this is really excellent news. Happy Friday.

If there is to be some negative news re Venus I wouldn't be surprised if it came out with the Salinbas results. All sounding positive (Venus might still surprise)
