btw, i too am less than happy with company comms and especially so as i am hugely in the red at these levels.

soul, yes approx. and also i think the aisc at kizil is different to that projected for tavsan.

but ignoring the fine detail which in any case is unknown for most (if not all) companies until after the fact, and going for broad brush, we can work on somewhere between $600 and $700, probably lower than $600 for kizil and higher for tavsan but guidance suggests not over $700 iirc. as i understand it any increase or decrease in gp will feed directly to the bottom line. imo silver credits is just an accounting convenience, and helps us to see the outcome without having to account for 2 different sets of numbers.

so the answer to the op's question is that the difference of a $10 move in gp is simply $10 x production ounces. with say 25,000 oz p.a. a $10 move up would mean $250,000 more at the bottom line or if move down then $250,000 less at the bottom line. of course this is at jv level, so 23.5% at aau level. bwdik.

So why question if I am unhappy here. You know I am not happy with the status quo and as I have said I am only holding for Salinbas and maybe Tavsan but I am not happy to continue any longer term supporting what Kerim thinks is the right way to treat shareholders and seemingly run this business to suit him rather than what is in shareholders best interests.

Incorrect? Don't think so, silver is in fact a large and beneficial by product.

AAU parent company costs are not included I believe. They work on so many projects I guess they would only have to guess at Kiziltepe involvement - which is negligible. You very unhappy here Soul - eh?

Different world

Bigglesbingham who posts on this board has often dabbled in geared silver tracking funds, wading back trough his posts may tell you which provider he uses there is sure to be a gold one too.

Doesn't the circa stand for about konil? So not definitive and if my memory served me right there was something that figure didn't include that a aiisc would do.
Also a large part of our gold Dore is made up of silver.

Clicking on the financials tab at the top will give many such details. But your request sounds more gold share price specific so no help there I expect.

Honest answer is this jungle of different projects all in different phases means that there is no true correlation with gold share price other than a general hand-up/hand down.

Not even slightly - AAU isIn the lowest quartile of costs! Around 600 dollars an ounce.

Anyone have an idea of the gearing here? ie every $10 rise (or fall) in the gold price how does it impact the bottom line?

US CPI figures land at 1:30 - could see a bit of bit of action on the gold price, which seems to lurch 20-30 dollars either way. Optimistically we may have a first crack at 1900.

These shortfalls are nothing new Charles so I don't think remedial action is on the cards and I certainly see no signs of it, in fact it seems to have deteriorated further.

Obvious shortfalls exist in dissemination of information and promotion of the company etc. Shareholders are not happy with the current arrangements. The company bod should be concerned about this and take remedial action ASAP if they have any respect at all.

at the latest opportunity to vote on mdv tenure there was no indication (according to the reported voting numbers) that there was any significant dissatisfaction with his performance.

i did send a negative vote for mdv re-election but it was less than a drop in the ocean even when consolidated with other negative votes. perhaps my vote through nominee broker never made it, and neither did all the other nominee votes, who knows? there was something about a show of hands in the room, or maybe i'm confusing separate issues.

cant see anything changing here, though i'm not fully in agreement with the thinking that ks is happy to see slow growth in share price

Great post xow98. I would support a change or changes to the Board as you know. Complacency, arrogance and all the points you rightly raise need addressing.

Great post xow but on top of that he has done all he can to complicate the company structure to limit the chances of a buyout, but again all that does is put prospective investors off as they don't understand it. I can't say I do most of the time and will never understand why Zenit was created instead of a straight forward JV between Proccea and Ariana at the time.
Of course now it has been complicated even further to the point that we are not sure who is responsible for issuing the news from Salinbas.
Whoever it is, Ariana must not neglect their duty towards shareholders.
