backmarker how long have you got 😏

It is well run for the BoD's interests but not for the shareholders. I will leave it at that.

Thanks renniks.

Well run in some aspects (geology, technology, exploration,) but weak corporately. Trouble is, it is partly by design. Don't mess with my baby. Consequently the weaknesses are never addressed and shareholders who raise valid questions are shunned. That has to change and if the Board don't volunteer to address some of these core issues in the near term, i'm sure they will be addressed for them.

PoG doing well. I expect AAU share price to start moving up at some point.

overall I have been disappointed with AAU share price AAU seems to be a well-run company, making profits, and with good prospects. so why has the share price been going down ?

women may be from Venus, and men from Mars, but Ariana must be from Mercury.

Not me Soul, I'm buying, not selling, mine was was a trading position last month, made a few quid from some unallocated funds that needed to be reallocated, my sentiment here reminds the same ever, very bullish, undervalued, fully funded, with huge upside potential, risk and reward weighted significantly on the reward side, unloved gold producer with second mine in production within 12 months, just as gold starts to gain momentum in what is going to be a distressing time for many markets. Many reason why someone needs the cash, probably very little to do with the fundamentals here, but each to their own. No doubt i'll find some behind the sofa if it goes back to 2.7 again.

Our tick down friend is really hot out of the stocks today. If only we could encourage him/her to share their thoughts rather than this pointless and inept childish behaviour.

D1G3Y I doubt very much Kerim being more proactive and communicative towards shareholders will have been a resolution of his or even on the agenda.
It would be nice though.

I suppose we will learn more when we eventually get the drill results. Until then I will watch the Lira ;-)

Hi Soul yes I must admit I'm not holding my breath for Q3 production. Even if the project were to slip (which happens) I believe AAU could do a much better job of expectation setting who knows perhaps Kerim has this on his list of NY resolutions lol

Hi Shortarm some form of statement from the company to this affect would be good :-)Even if/when financing is approved the geopolitical risks remain especially as the global economy looks to be slowing/tightening so can't be ignored. That said I have just read a couple of articles about Turkish currency potentially stabilising which is positive. The recent news of central banks increasing their purchases of gold substantially is also on the bullish side. Just trying to look at the macro factors that could influence the AAU price going forward

I know we have kicked this can down the road many times before, but reference the potential elephant in the room (Salinbas, Hizarliyayla and even the mysterious 1005 owned Project Leopard) don't forget what happen to the valuation of Mariana Resources (MARL) following their discovery at Hot Maden, which as we all know is just a few kilometres south of our exploration ground.

Tavsan producing this year hmmmm. Kerim says Q3 but as yet we still have no information on funding or how much actual work has been done on site and what is needed to complete the project.
The usual caveats regarding what Kerim says apply imo.
It is already so far behind when it should have been producing, any further slippage would surely be intolerable.
As ever we are left to make our best guesses.

All three partners have plentiful funds - hence starting construction regardless of loan status. Obviously not where we would prefer to spend the cash given a choice but the second mine will get built loan or no loan!

However with inflation running at 84% and interest rates being reduced this is a difficult environment for lenders. This is why I believe we are still waiting to hear anything about Tavsan financing. So to conclude if the Turkish economy and currency can stabilise AAU should be able to get second mine live and enter a positive period but the background risk can't be ignored. This is the simplistic outlook I have on the medium term for AAU. Happy to be corrected as I'm no expert but also thought it might cause some discussion around Turkey as I haven't seen too many posts mentioning it :-)
