Can not be much worse after 2 years of misery.Third time lucky and all that. Will we finally find out what the hell is going on. A value accretive year bar none. Fingers crossed everyone. Well done this thread for respecting opinions in a mature manor. | plasybryn
23/12/2022 07:33 | Thanksamillion - I am not doing a bashing. For my modest means - and my modest lifestyle - I have for my circumstances quite some money invested in AAU.. Hence I do the thinking. Of which I NEVER am 100 % certain. So I post and wait for the flaws of my thinking. AAU has superb tech team, which has gathered superb licences. AAU team operating is also superb - lowest discovery costs and lowest operating costs. It is like in love - huge expectations based on potential and a reason ... coming to nothing ... or in my case to huge loss atm... Naturally is to ask my self ... where did I miss? Now .... did it (corporate structure and governance) happen out of necessity (geo political, financial, operational), naivety or on purpose ? or weighted mix of them all? But when modus operandi gets repeated ...... my view of why - changes and becomes clearer. first there is fair and calm discussion. Then majority comes to a common conclusion (could be right or wrong). If people agree on something has to be improved - the big ones - rightly born - should take on their leadership responsibility given them by birth (either assets, education, nationality, abilities, character etc) and try to introduce a change for the better. For the common good in general - for all to benefit. Also the few who seem to "profit" -as it is - might loose some material value in the short term, but will gain hugely in value in the long term + all the other aspects of them being human will gain too. all imho | kaos3
22/12/2022 19:06 | It isn't Charles and as Plasybryn said the other day, it's an odd way to run a company, especially one that has been relatively successful unlike much of the other dross on Aim. | soulsauce
22/12/2022 18:18 | Yes Soul and look how they treat their loyal shareholders like mushrooms thinking a one-off divi is enough to keep them quiet. It really isn't good enough. | charles clore
22/12/2022 17:21 | I totally agree Charles. It's only the loyalty of a large number of long termers that keeps this from further weakness. We saw what happened when renniks sold some recently. | soulsauce
22/12/2022 17:02 | Of course they do Soul I was being facetious. For some reason they are not allowing the sun to shine on the company. That has to change soon or imho there won't be many shareholders left! | charles clore
22/12/2022 16:52 | But they do know the reason, they keep using the same excuses in presentations the gold price, sector averages, pier group comparisons blah blah. But they don't mention the things they can control and improve but stubbornly don't 😏 | soulsauce
22/12/2022 16:38 | Might be advisable for the company to issue a statement to the effect 'We know of no reason why the share price has fallen by 25% in the past 12 months and almost 50% over the past 2 years! | charles clore
22/12/2022 13:35 | Not me! in fact mine was the 92,584 buy this morning, needed to round up some figures, like to keep things neat and tidy. Also for the record I did only sale 1.25m last week, so there was someone else who let a 1m+ go, probably same person today. 1m + 150K + 150+ I reckon. | renniks2016
22/12/2022 13:31 | Window tax on my shareholding, who'd have ever though it....haha... | dixi
22/12/2022 13:28 | More windows Rennicks? | plasybryn
22/12/2022 13:25 | So a 1 million sell at 2.8 was what kicked off todays fun.. Rennicks.....?Lol | shortarm
22/12/2022 13:07 | Lost over 25 percent of its value in 2022 (so far) so plenty of upside in 2023. With Tavsan, Salinbas, Kiziltepe extensions, higher gold prices and Venus IPO all looking possible in 2023 how can we not expect a bumper year. See i'm trying to be positive. Ha ha | plasybryn
22/12/2022 12:55 | Superb prospects for 2023 :-D | shortarm
22/12/2022 12:52 | If that is the case why doesn't the Co set out to shareholders its reporting responsibilities and its plans for communication. All i recall is it saying it was no longer going to report quarterly financial updates. Everything now seems very adhoc with no Gantt chart to provide shareholders with any guidance.Season of goodwill. You will be pleased to hear i will now shut up complaining. What a great Co. Amazingly investor aligned. Great prospects for 2023 | plasybryn
22/12/2022 11:45 | Have a lie down kaos3. ;-) | thanksamillion
22/12/2022 10:52 | echo chamber Venus same coming Venus same coming Venus same coming Kosovo did Kosovo did Kosovo did echo echo echo | kaos3
22/12/2022 10:47 | Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan announced on Thursday the government would increase minimum wages by an additional 55% to 8,506.80 liras ($455) starting next year, effectively doubling it since the start of this year. However, Erdogan said in a press briefing today that the government might hike the minimum wage again next year if needed. Ankara introduced the measure after employer and employee unions couldn't reach an agreement on the size of the wage increase. The announcement comes as Turkey battles record inflation of about 85%. Meanwhile, the Turkish central Bank was expected to announce its latest policy moves later today. | xow98
22/12/2022 09:04 | Well that would go some way to answering a few things kaos. | soulsauce
22/12/2022 09:04 | to break the silence . eminem - not afraid (to take a stand) motivation - I like it | kaos3
22/12/2022 08:45 | correct me if I am wrong: JV is bellow 25 % ... no regular JV to AAU reporting obligatory no consolidation of the accounts obligatory AAU just includes the JV end results into its balance sheet corporate structure... all the info beyond the end result we get is free will of JV main owner. also the divi we might get depends on the main owner. I asked many times the above and got no different answer.... So seeing this - a decent II manager can not buy shares in AAU ... as its main "cow depends on someone elses farming" | kaos3
22/12/2022 08:25 | I missed out strengthening the Board and succession planning. Go through the RNS 's and many are non events like AGM results, Investor presentations etc so the real number is much lower than the headline figure suggested. | plasybryn
22/12/2022 08:08 | Much happier with a safe solid slow approach conserving cash rather than a KAT style update and 50 percent drop! | shortarm
22/12/2022 07:58 | But it is a public Co and therefore the shareholders own it and have a right to timely progress reports on activity. On how their money is being invested. It is surprising we can not find out definitively what the regulatory rules are on drilling disclosure. Given shareholders have repeatedly requested this, to me it smacks of Kerim's absurd stubbornness again. Where are we the second Broker, the Gantt chart, Salinbas drill results, Venus IPO etc? | plasybryn
22/12/2022 07:40 | It's quite simple, the company will do whatever is required to get to 500M market cap. | shortarm |
