Well that depends gerry on if the $2.5m is loaded on to the Ariana account or the Wtr (Alliance) account.
Do you know which?
I would suggest the latter.

Soul,

what was the net asset value per share of the company prior to the Newmont deal? What was it post the deal? In other words did the cash received for the 46m shares increase the net asset value or not?

hi bb, post 10942. yes, let's hope it works out like that. though not sure newmont 'chose' aau, imo more likely ks sought out newmont because they have the regional database which ks wanted to get his hands on. doesn't really matter, and if it goes well it will be a win for both parties.

edit: still dont like the dilution and if a sizeable project comes out of it, then almost certainly a bigger dilution coming, as newmont will want in with shares in return for cash. have to hope ks is as good at corporate finance strategy as he is at the geological stuff, but can't help feeling he may have missed a trick here, especially with $millions already sitting in an aau account somewhere and by the time anything from this deal needs serious money beyond what aau currently have there will be revenues coming in from apliki (plus potentially other cyprus assets fed through apliki) and tavsan, so a real opportunity for organic growth, but this newmont deal seems to tie us in to dilution.

Well you still haven't answered my question bigglesbingham. You attempted to answer it by saying that I can't see the benefits.
I can see the benefit to WTR, I can see the benefit to Kerim keeping hold of his vanity project but I am still not understanding why our company have given away 46m cheap shares and what actual benefit there is to AAU and me as a shareholder that has been diluted by 4%.
.
Shortarm you will only get to know as much as Kerim wants to tell you like with any other time.

Biggles you're right the bod are there to make decisions in the best interests of the company and its shareholders and that is why we put them there year after year -/ in the knowledge that they are best equipped to make those decisions. We may not always understand them but we either trust and support them or, if we don't agree, reduce our exposure in the company as some have done. I can't say Kerim has made any bad decisions but I would like him to be more up-front with his thinking so that more shareholders know wtf he is doing, where he is going and most importantly how he intends to get there.

I said trust the management to make a decision that benefits the company. Soul can't see any benefits therefore the decision was a wrong one in souls eyes therefore he doesn't trust in the management to make decisions to benefit the company. My view is they would only make this decision if they feel it's going to benefit the company. We may not know all intricacies but they are the decision makers.

Give it a rest. Trusting the management's judgement is not the same thing as trusting the management.

Soul if you can't see what benefit AAU and you don't trust the management to have made a decision which benefits the company then I suggest you sell completely pal because once you lose trust you get out. I did that with CHF and sold down HUM to get out soon both as I lost trust in management.

Nice spin there bigglesbingham.

They have chosen AAU because they already had access to it and already exploring in those areas through WTR, but mainly because they have got an absolutely great deal for them probably less than zero risk.
AND - it's not too small for them as they are hoping WTR will find a resource big enough for them to invest in. But why do the work when you can have a team find that big resource for you at no cost to you, genius.

What benefit are AAU shareholders going to get?

Hi Konil Kerim states that the database is not limited to turkey it covers areas they are going to explore with west Tethyan. Think of it as newmont having this data but they want an excellent exploration team to exploit it as it's too small for them. We get a nice chunk on discovery and they get their data maximised. That the way I see it. The fact they have chosen AAU should not be underestimated imho.

No Charles I can categorically tell you that is not the case.
Shortarm maybe you would like to answer renniks conundrum as to the reasons why.
Just kidding. You know the reason why just like everyone else but you would rather keep schtum and see nothing change.

It's a symptom of their attitude to shareholders and their status as a public company with reporting obligations. Write the RNS carelessly, don't check it, go back to snorting coke.

renniks -

what determines the value of an item is its usefulness, durability, design etc.

Take for example wrist watches ... from 10 EUR to 1 mil providing the same function 100 % - showing correct time on the wrist.

We are saying we have good product selling for 10 GBP and that is a good value - which it is and that our product is undervalued looking at the 1 mil wrist watch.

Some on this BB are saying we should put in additional effort to start selling basically the same product at not much higher production cost for 50.000 GBP. Few small changes in the production and marketing.

Advocating the value all the time - that is what we all get - as we are invested here. What we want is a discussion and action to move our product into a higher league at almost no additional cost. So easy to do. Even I can see it.

Do some of the obvious trade tricks ffs !!!!!

PS: The product is the share price btw

I'm confuse as to why you constantly slate the company you are trying to get out of? If you want it over four pence so you can leave surely you'd be mention the success, not a PR problem?
