Simple gerry it should have been paid in one go with a cut off date the day before the rns. That is what we were all led to believe in several jv rns.
But we were rolled over and our belly tickled by some tax saving statement which has never been properly explained.
Anyway it's done now.

Agree with Soul, it is ridiculous for KS to state the dividend rewards 'loyal shareholders' as absolutely anyone can buy the shares a day or so to get the dividend and then sell again if they want. Who's he trying to kid here? Best not make that sort of nonsensical statement, it grates.

So give us your view on exactly how 'loyal shareholders' should have been rewarded and how this would ensure that it would avoid rewarding 'every shareholder who is shareholder at the time it goes ex divvy'.

But what will be Horizon Copper plans? Sounds like they will want to expand their interests. Will they be looking to acquire locally to Hot Maden with capital support from Sandstorm? Or can infrastructure be shared. Said their AISC will be circa $500 per oz even though terrain isn't that mine friendly. Forget weather or not it is a good deal for Sandstorm, I'm focussed on the potential positive implications for Ariana and the J.V. It should also help raise international interest in the region . Copper is clearly going to be an important ingredient.

Not at all gerrystewart I have been in this a long long time and seen many periods like this.
I am simply stating that it is not rewarding 'loyal shareholders', it is rewarding every shareholder who is a shareholder at the time before it goes ex divvy.
If he had wanted to have rewarded loyal shareholders with the special dividend it should have been done differently.
But here we are.

Well, actually Soul, this particular 'loyal shareholder' has seen the value of his shareholding increase many fold since buying at less than 1.0p. I get the feeling you're simply angry with yourself for not selling at the top.

I see Kerim is still sticking to the divvy rewarding loyal shareholders lol.
It doesn't, loyal shareholders have seen the value of their Ariana shares go down week on week and the divvy won't even touch the sides of what they have lost.
Meanwhile divvy surfers, that have no interest in Ariana, can come and take the money.
Ridiculous commentary.

Totally sounds to me they have bottled it. Buy for $180 sell for $95 debenture to be paid back over time and $200m asset stream which is paid over long time and they pay $10m to the company giving them the asset stream? Doesn't sound right to me.

The spread is not large you've been here long enough to know the figures quoted are the highest buy price and the lowest sell price from ALL market makers !

To me this reads that the BOD are considering an ongoing regular dividend.

Anyone buying now could be locking in a 9% annual dividend and growth potential.
