Unfortunately we have a Ceo managing this remotely and a seemingly invisible Chairman until he is filling his pockets.
No one appears to want to promote this properly and give us some vision of the way ahead with plans and timescales.
I must say I am losing faith once again.

There's selling. There are sellers (I've been one of them at times). The thing that's largely missing is buying. For a company with a billion shares in circulation the volumes traded seem very small. And, despite the efforts of a handful on here, the volume of current and recent buying is tiny IMO. We can debate why that is, but until there's a significant increase in buying I can't see much changing. Obvious, maybe, but there just seems to be too much emphasis on selling when the volume of sells is nothing exceptional.

And it's been a decent day for many of the miners.
We continue to talk about the reasons but nothing changes at AAU HQ.
I guess you either believe in the slow but steady or you don't.
It is increasingly clear that many don't and can see more excitement elsewhere.
At this rate by the time the market chops off the 0.175p for the divvy we maybe trading near 3p 😖.

As to confidence as to the progress they have made, their strategy etc my confidence remains. As to communication and promotion of said progress that's a different matter.

Have to agree with Jaf here. There is 'persistent seller' or theres simply lack of confidence in the strategy. This reeks of the latter sadly and I can fully understand why others are taking their money elsewhere currently. Ariana > Pinned for later

With all due respect, you should not be making definitive statements such as 'there is a persistent seller in background' without any supporting evidence. I know you have a great deal of experience in this area and claim to see patterns, but it could just as easily be multiple sellers and short-term traders.

The sales have been going on for more than a year now - coincidentally, just based on this board alone, confidence in Ariana has also been going down for more than a year now as well.

There is a persistent seller in background who holds or held a significant number. They may well have been a long term holder crystallising profits because can't see major holder selling down if they bought around 5p. Just got to ride it.

Starting to feel the pain, confident long term but it's far from pleasant watching this trickle down! Gold at 1816 barely 100 dollars off its high yet this is starting to get to 50% off it's Aug peak. Can't be far from the bottom he says....

Normally you have to have a certain percentage of shares to get a motion accepted for the AGM. If somehow we got enough shares together, they could just vote themselves another zillion cheap options and dilute us back below the threshold.

Hummingbird have a new presentation out with some great slides. If only Ariana would adopt some of those Gantt type/timescale/ target milestone charts. Makes it so easy to see what the Co. expects to deliver and when.

I was talking in general terms about how shareholders as a whole in stocks like Ariana seem to suffer from this issue at times.

I didn’t mean to convey any value judgement on the relative merits of long v short as an investment approach, just how I see it as affecting the share price I believe we are all entitled to our opinions, irrespective of the length one has held a stock, as even opinions of those that don’t hold can often be worthy of consideration. It would be detrimental to any board if the right to raise concerns was dependent on being a long term shareholder.

Additionally, we all, as one would expect, seem to very different ideas on what constitutes ‘long term’ for various reasons, and that can really colour one expectations of whether a company is making progress. If the share price does not seem to reflect this, therein lies the potential

I’m still content that there will be decent rewards on a timescale I can tolerate, but I do feel there are others here that perhaps are not now, but its just my own observation, FWIW

I do hope you're correct Soul, but what worries me about Salinbas is the terrain, which is why Ozaltin are on board, but I do remember a guy many years ago on the other board, Traceylied I do believe he went as, and he had been there and said several times that the terrain was a huge issue. Maybe they find out what gold is under there and sell it off. But one thing is for sure, it won't be soon. Anyway fingers crossed for Venus IPO in the near future.

Claret there maybe catalysts from Salinbas which provide some value triggers ahead of production fingers crossed.
Like you I am hoping for things nearer term as I have been here long enough, that is why it's so disappointing for Tavsan to keep slipping.
Hopefully they can get things moving in Cyprus PDQ.

So are you saying that you're waiting for Salinbas to be the key for AAU to take off. If it is I think you'll be waiting around for a long long time. I'm hoping for a regular small dividend, just to keep us interested, plus Tavsan and Cyprus, but Salinbas, too long for me I'm afraid, and I'm still working full time.
As for 10p, its only a guess, but must be five years off, as KS's timelines aren't usually very accurate. I don't want to be too negative and I hope I'm wrong, only time will tell.
