Soul - I think Salinvas, when fully permitted and proven with a DFS, will eventually be bought out by Ozaltin and then Proccea and Ariana will take a net smelter royalty. Ariana will probably manage the mining operation for a fee imho.

You certainly are Charles.

Salinbas might give us a bit of a boost but as I understand they are still drilling so a while to wait yet.

Soul - I'd describe myself as a long term holder. I'd like to see 10p at which point I'd take some off the table. That doesn't look like happening shortly but you never know. Salinas will be the key to that happening I believe so watch this space.

BoDoodak are you on about shareholders in Ariana as a whole or those that post on here?
If you are on about shareholders here you are mistaken as the vast majority of posters on here are loooooong term investors and have more than earned a right to raise concerns on the many issues spoken about at length on here.

Problem here is that most 'investors' time horizons are short term by choice or by their natural tendencies, and so most people are at totally or partially traders, so with a more than a billion shares outstanding Ariana is still viewed as a penny stock flutter for most, for now.

julianc, let's hope there is some substance to it. other than gp breakout i cant see anything moving this in the short term.

at least the divi may help prevent too much further downside.

Looks Like There's a Whale Snapping Up Gold Bullion Below $1,800

This article from Bloomberg may be of interest:

That would suggest that whoever is buying is able to buy in scale, leave little footprint in the market and then take delivery and store the metal in secure, invisible vaults. And that points strongly toward a sovereign buyer.

Central banks normally declare to the IMF the amounts of metal they have on their books. But there are precedents where this has been done with some delay. Between 2009 and 2015, China reported no change in holdings, only to reveal that it had bought 53 million ounces of metal over the period.

Fuller Money Comment
Gold habitually ranges for long enough to try the patience of even the most ardent bulls. When it breaks out, it usually takes most traders by surprise. That’s the biggest lesson I’ve learned from trading the metal for nearly twenty years.

Who in there right mind wouldn't crystallize options with dividend round the corner. I'd be more worried if he didn't have the sense to do what he did. Anyway move on.

Soul, I appreciate what's going on there, I was just stating a fact, the decision to do this was made a while ago, whilst I don't know the ins and out, I would imagine that once made then committed to it, bwdik anyone know any different. ?

We get paid in dollars and convert a bit to pay local costs so I wouldn't worry too much about keeping money in Turkey or inflation which only lowers our costs......

Renniks you need to have a look at what is going on in Turkey and then consider if a tax break is worth keeping a large amount of money there.
Companies having to give up Forex so that the country can buy in gas is just one thing as no-one wants the lira, banks on their knees and rampant inflation.

AND never was not using the money for a tax break put forward when we voted for the new JV.

Some keep forgetting the reasons they are not using a large part of the proceeds, this being the tax break from keeping it in the country, not sure how long this has to be, but it will become available at some point.

Great post Plas, 👍

Which permits are we still waiting for at Tavsan ?
Also do we know if the Tailing's dam at Kiziltepe is big enough to accommodate the extra mine life and tonnage of throughput
Certainly don't want any disasters as like many on here this is far my biggest holding
And although i am still confident in the company I can understand why a lot on this board are getting frustrated, as I am

Of course that may happen Shortarm but as I have said before I don't see the benefit of sitting on all that cash in a Turkish bank with rampant inflation.

But I think you missed the point. If that is all we were going to do with the money we should have kept 50% of the Turkish assets.
