I have always declared my totally holding to the company all are held in nominee accounts but not rocket science if they wanted to track my details down with permission from the board as I'm named in the audited accounts.

Sorry should say Kerim hasn't been that keen.

As I've said many times the discussion this morning confirms Panmure Gordon can't push water up hill. We have to be realistic. They will have done what they can at this point in the Co's development. I suspect also, as someone suggested yesterday, that Kerim has been that keen to do much on this front as he will have been informed it is largely wasted time & effort. A few years back they did a round Robin with PG in the City so I'm sure Institutions are aware but sitting on the sidelines waiting for the moment when all their boxes are ticked.

bb, interesting!

i guess that would only apply to holders on the share register i.e. not nominee holders?

i'm not a longstanding holder but i ain't selling any until share price much further north.
here's hoping.

Institutions were sniffing around some of my holdings but one reason and another it didn't progress. So this is the way I see them buying in ie through major shareholders looking to reduce holdings without affecting the market price. I suspect this is why KS sold a chunk at the time ie opportunity arose but I don't know for sure. Problem is longstanding holders realize huge potential here so reluctant to sell anything sizeable. Perhaps odd few million.

Can't see the monopolies commission refusing to transfer major ownership of mine from uk listed company to Turkish listed companies. Think the Turkish government would be pushing these types of deals. Obviously it's the time it gets taken to be looked at. Now ozaltin start earning your share.

soul, perhaps as you say, and hopefully so, but until done there remains the risk however small it may be.

zedder, if you are suggesting that so that aau shows a regular dividend policy, it wont wash because instis will see there currently isn't the cashflow to maintain that dividend and cashflow from future production increases is not something given much weight by income funds, rather they want to see a history of dividends already in place. anyway, why should existing holders have to wait for the distribution. the insti interest will come when the company is at correct level of development for them, or aau want to raise cash and therfore offer new shares at discount, but that dilutes existing holders of course. imo.

konil I have no doubt given the size and strength of Ozaltin that there is negligable chance of the jv not getting finalised.
The worry for me is that we know from the past how long it takes to get permits etc and so it continues to drag on for another 1,2,3 months and continues to act as a weight on the share price

Rather than pay a special dividend might it be worth the company stating they will release it as half-year and yearly dividends as a precursor to the time production will allow a sustainable dividend?

meantime, there remains the risk that the jv doesn't get finalised.

the govt clearance is outside company control.

selling the company story and getting instis to buy-in are two separate issues surely?

'hi, here we have a superb opportunity, with these wonderful assets, and....yada...yada...yada...

yeah, looks very good, how do we get a slice?

oh, just buy in the market.'

imo that doesn't work, instis will want a sweetner to buy in. but why should ks/mdv dilute their and existing shareholders holdings by offering sweetners (eg. a placing at a discount) when there is no need for new funding? also the relatively small size of the company will put it outside the mandate of many fund managers, as will the lack of regular dividends for income funds.

so, yes, get the message out there, but getting big players on board is a different matter. my guess is that once the company gets big enough and starts paying regular healthy divs then income seeking funds will buy in without too much persuasion but that may be some time away.

I did raise that exact point with them but they said that certainly wasn't the case. My thought process is we get the deal finalised then have discussions as to how we address getting the message across to potential investors be it individuals or institutions .

Biggles I can only assume the directors don't want their successes broadcast. Perhaps their reasoning is prevention of a hostile bid by a predator. They have now managed to hide it as part of a JV with a very large major partner. Whether this will stifle or raise institutional interest in AAU remains to be seen. Interesting times indeed!

I agree with a lot of comment on here but PG have had plenty of opportunity and need replacing imho if not another broker brought on board. It's up to KS and MDV to make the decision. The frustration is the company's operational performance is superb. There is always an element of investors wanting rewards sooner rather than later but I know this and that is if I'd have been given task of selling such a good story I would have.

I agree 8rad and think as soon as Covid allows he should return to the UK/Turkey. Just my opinion, but I thinks he needs to be hands on.

It's not just down to P.G. No it is Kerim & Michael who have to get themselves in front of the Institutions, probably accompanied by P.G. and sell the story. It is Kerim & Michael they are buying, not P.G. The buck stops at the top. Easy to blame someone else. P.G. have to open the doors, which is easy for them given there long established history in the City. Then Kerim & Michael do the rest. Obviously not having a Placing will make it harder to get big players on board, but if they sell the story strongly enough and entice them with regular dividends, it shouldn't be beyond the wit of man.

SS, I would rather they use the cash to build more potential access to Gold Silver "reserves".

Imagine £300 per Oz Ag and £20,000 per Oz Au!

Thin AIR Bit Coin is "worth" $30,000! We are in Crazy messed up days where opportunity like this is not likely to come ever again, they messed it up I am ready on all fronts to turn their stupidity and greed into my wealth.

Just because "they" control "money" they are not smart they are STUPID and MORONS in my opinion who messed it up BIG TIME and I am investing in those I feel are smart directors like the ones you all feel are in this company.

This is truly once in a life time opportunity and I am very well positioned, I wanted to place 20k here but I am spreading my risk and potential rewards as best I feel can make me real money and also keep me relaxed, £5k turning into £50k or £500k is what I am after here so any decisions they take will go towards how and when I want to bank my profits in 6 months time.
