You just sound so unenthusiastic Tem. I don't share your view of the company. We have been through a huge refocusing exercise this year and imho are now about to kick ass.

Why would I do that Charles? I've been in AAU 5 years and AAU has been great for me and has great prospects, but I just don't see too much movement near term.

Just because I'm not spouting 8, 9, 10p Rodders before you can chant 'flog ya goldmines in a bull market' doesn't mean AAU are a bad investment. It just goes back to being a longer term investment while they refocus. But who knows, maybe it will double in Q1, I've still 1m+ here so wont complain.

What do AAU need to do to be eligible for the VanEck GDXJ ETF?
Something like that could certainly get the share price moving.
================

Could but by no means will. Pure Gold recently joined that list and it did nothing to the share price. IMO now that AAU has voted to flog off >50% of it's gold mine production, it will likely tread water until it sorts out and reports on actual progress towards replacing that production or progress on exploration either Salinbas or elsewhere. This is back to being a safe but slower burner longer term hold.

What do AAU need to do to be eligible for the VanEck GDXJ ETF?

The VanEck Vectors Junior Gold Miners UCITS ETF invests in equity securities issued by global producers of gold and silver with predominantly a medium and small market capitalisation.

Exposure predominantly to global small- and mid-cap companies from the gold and silver mining industry.
Direct access to a broad selection of companies in the exploration or early gold mining phase.

Something like that could certainly get the share price moving.

The institutions will probably buy off the large shareholders who want to realise some shares. This happened a year ago with seven mill, KS sold warrants without affecting shareprice therefore i deduce an institution probably took off his hands. I had some sniffing . But as you say at current price not at a discount.

Possibly Charles but I am hoping for something more leftfield than that.
I don't think there is any rush for us to just build our holding up in Cyprus through the exploration process as laid down.
I would hope Kerim has a nice surprise for us but maybe I am being too optimistic.

cc, imo aau are doing the right thing not letting the instis in on the cheap via placing. there is no dire need for cash so no need for placing or any other dilutive move (unless on good terms like the jv which not only brings cash but is a massive step towards developing the assets, primarily salinbas which is too big for the current partners). as the company develops the assets the value accretion will see the share price rise and instis will have to buy in the market like everyone else if they want to share in the story. but that is a medium to long term play, so lots can go wrong meantime but i'm hoping pm will continue the bull run into 2021 and provide some insulation from any stumbles...of course there may not be any stumbles in which case all the better.

we all know this of course, just reminding myself why i'm here!

One more hurdle and we are there. Can't wait to see what investment ideas Kerim has.

The good news keeps coming but the city continues to ignore it. So we have to wait until the Turkish government approved the merger before Ozaltin releases the cash and I guess until then the old Ariana/Proccea JV will continue to reap the same old rewards. The cash keeps pouring into the coffers and it therefore doesn't make sense to me that the institutions are still keeping the company at arm's length. So I'm expecting that will change in the near future with new broker notes almost certainly making a big difference attracting big investors. I'm holding tight with huge optimism

Think we were a bit undersold with that RNS. Nothing mentioned in it about the sale to Ozaltin. You have to remember alot of people read RNSs and would not know the background to a company, so you do have to give some background that might garner some interest and get people interested in buying in.

Not relevant as resolution passed and always was going to be, but just off the phone to HL and they said they'll get back to me. Did mention perhaps reason was 5 working days notice needed but secure email sent 21st so that's 5 working days.

Still think any ideas this deal, or the special divi will set the share price alight are way off the mark, tho happy to be proved wrong, but do expect a steady rise with Tasvan, Salinbas, Venus and of course, the amazing things people were saying Kerim will do with what's left of the cash after the divi.

I had that some time back and I kicked off at tilney. They pass to a third party bridge smithing or other and wait till last day. If there is a screw up leaves no riom for manoeuvre . 28th was a bank holiday so they may have been off.
