Yes, it may well be wise to prune/pluck this bird before it gets cooked! :-/

Unexpected significant strengthening of the share price Of course we all know how very few deals can move our share price The B/O remains high at 1.99/2.075 for 250k as of a couple of minutes ago. The situation in Turkey has dropped off the BBC headlines, I hope for all concerned in the conflict that the action there is nearing its end and Erdogan will be satisfied if he achieves a relatively modest buffer region as stated. Whether we like it or not we, as investors, will have to await announcements from the US. I admit the plunge yesterday did scare me a bit, if a situation there seriously affected AAU I would be a bit screwed. In light of this I may consider the wisdom of a pruning in months to come. GLA

Thanks JaynesDad,...same page. The guy clearly has problems, and is either a sociapath, or on the spectrum at the very least, or simply a moron. How 'tweets' such as that posted a day or two ago, probably from the toilet seat whilst coking up, are allowed to see the light of day un-vetted is beyond me. The man needs to be removed as a matter of some urgency.

Good posts CFC, totally agree with you on POG, the amount mined this quarter will be interesting. As I have expressed before,my opinion is that the amount of gold produced will be lower than some hope if the BOD 'select' available grades at the mill to 'smooth' the transition to output from AS to the lower expected grades of the AN & Derya pits. If the production is up, on a par with say 2018 Q3, that may suggest that they are more confident of future grades than I think. Believe me I will be more than happy to have my suspicions proved groundless! share price seems to be holding better than may have been expected today. There is hope that we will see Trump the peacemaker, the mediator, rather than brandishing the economic sanction stick.

They've been mining at $1400 for the whole of July and $1500 for the entirety of August and September, so very roughly $1466 for the quarter, which is a significant increase in sales, albeit grades and oz may be down slightly. We need to keep those up and not tread water. Organic growth please!

That's a pretty severe wedge forming. I'd expect/hope, a break out (up please) to the 2.6-2.8 area over the next two-three months. I'd argue the upward trendline is still (just about) intact. And the figures aren't going to lie at $1500 au.

Gerry thanks for your post. Like I said the whole region is a mess full of several different factions and tribal differences going back centuries. What makes this unpalatable for me is that many of these Kurds have bravely fought and lost many people, some in the worst ways, while putting down ISIS. They now find themselves abandoned and having to defend themselves with guns and the odd armoured vehicle against air strikes, rockets, tanks and a huge army. Just doesn't sit right with me.

Soul, Whilst i have little doubt that Erdogan is trying to bolster flagging electoral popularity, there is much more to the Kurds/Turkish situation than meets the eye. It is part of human behaviour to assume the smaller of two combatants are the victims but people need to know that Turks have had some 35000 people killed by Kurds over the years. I defy anybody to 'mug up' on the PKK and not be utterly confused as to who they are and what they stand for other than trying to create a Kurdish state. Now whether the YPG are closely linked to the PKK or not (erdogan says they are but....?)I don't know. But what is clear is that over the many years of middle-east conflict, the Kurdish fighters have been armed by the west (both the US and UK) and when the fighting stops they are much better armed than they were at the outset. From a Turkish perspective, these weapons are then turned on the Turks. In addition, not all 'Kurds' are supporters of either the PKK or YPG. Turkey's relation ship with Iraqui kurds are, I believe, much friendlier and based on strong trading links. So, although almost every country is now supporting the Kurds, they weren't exactly that keen to help when Turkey was asking for military support (effectively 'boots on the ground') when Assad was murdering the Syrian population that has resulted in more than 3 million refugees in Turkey. They were happy to arm the Kurds despite Erdogan warning them what would happen (effectively they simply view this as 'Turkeys' problem). But when turkey wants to deal with 'their' problem they are calling foul. Like most i hope that the Turks show some ( a lot) of restraint but wouldn't hold my breath. He's very much the egotist that both Johnson and Trump are.
