Sorry kaos it escaped me that one for some reason, may be it was while I was discussing the merits of the JV with Temujiin?

Darren talks very highly of Kerim, but it is Canada and not Australia that is providing the buzz currently?

So Stan Weinstein wrote a book saying you should only invest in stocks going up?

Who knew?

Short book is it?

Soul - long time ago I told you that on here - why - because he invested his pet australian project on which he made his PhD thesis into palm not into AAu. and I asked why? I still have my thoughts about it. modus operandi and all. And where he is for months - in Australia.

part of my selling was done on the above btw

and I was not wellcomed here asking this Q

but wtfdik

well Renniks - my hat is off. You got winnings already - I try to get them. Your process is much better.Lower risk going into: possible JV news, special divi declaration burst & hedging against broader market risks of a major down turn.

The best book on investing I have ever read us Stan Weinstein’s one. He has a four stage analysis of stocks which many, including Mark Minervini, and the majority of private investors I speak to, use. A stock is either going sideways, going up, rolling over or going down. You only ever want to hold stocks in the second group, going up.

Personally I believe that KS will be kicking himself that the deal has not been done by now, with the level of M&As in the juniors expected now and in the not too distant future, some of the sweets in the shop might not be as cheap as they were a few weeks ago, or they may even have been sold out. Is it best to be the sweet manufacturer, the sweet shop owner or the customer? If you believe that this deal will not happen until the end of the month (if at all) the as Kaos has done, realised some profit, and picked some bigger returns on cash, well done chap. The risk reward for everyone is different, chasing short term gain can also cause long term pain, not for everyone. I have none the same as Kaos, but in reverse, Taken some short term gains and accumulated here. While it's quiet you can pick up quite a few I noticed. We all have different strategies and we all need to be comfortable with our positions and I'm very comfortable here.

Charels - I sold almost 1/2 mil yesterday too. Why? because I needed cash for some other investments which I consider better in terms of the expected short term share price moves. (did 3 x on DLAR, now MNZS - look at the gaps presenting there etc)

It always boils down on the price - value is quality at a price. average quality can be better value at a certain price than high quality at high price

then it is expected cash flow into my pocket. not into Cos to be reinvested ad infinituum on my behalf.

I ll be back with that 1/2 mil btw and the rest is still here

genie I agree it is never wrong to bank a profit and we have seen that principle exercised time and again by Mr Somerville. But my question was borne of genuine interest and I would be grateful for your guidance in this:

Knowing where the company currently stands with the deal about to be finalised this month, probably with a dividend coming to shareholders, the rising price of precious metals and the final results due imminently and likely to be very good I would have thought that now would not be the best time to sell. In fact, you have lost all the potential benefits of holding the stock that you sold today. So I was wondering if you had another investment in mind that you think will give a better return for your gains rather than leaving it where it was.

Never wrong to bank a profit Charles, particularly a sizeable one (capital preservation). Still have 500,000 at 1.32p left. May buy some, or all, back IF the price dips.

I paid 1.32p/share for that 1/2 million. Decided it was time to bank some profit. Still have 1/2 million left. Keeping those for time being.
