31/5/2020 23:32 | Anyone top slicing at these prices is a moron bean counter. They fail to value gold where it’s likely to be in the next few years.... | a.fewbob
31/5/2020 23:25 | Thanks bigglesbingham re Somerville. I am surprised that as a professional pundit he was unaware of the $8.5 million working capital. I would imagine that paying clients of share prophets (I am not one) would expect a better grasp of the facts than portrayed. The people he urged to top slice at 4p can watch in admiration while he personally top slices at 5p and marvel at their own missed opportunity to hold until they could also top slice at that higher price. | 1candc
31/5/2020 22:49 | Just out of interest, Roughly what is Ariana worth in terms of $ per oz in the ground? | a.fewbob

31/5/2020 19:13 | Somerville at it again saying he was surprised by working capital loan. This is nothing new and mentioned many times, thought he'd have done his research anyway he's only said top slice at 5 p now. How much must his punters have lost by top slicing over last few months . He's bit of article relating to Ariana. Meanwhile Ariana offered up its Q1 numbers which were predictably strong, and it was interesting to see that head honcho Kerim Sener held off from silver sales, preferring to wait for better prices. As things stand, that seems to have been a correct call but more to the point it suggests that Ariana is somewhat awash with cash. With gold prices well above Ariana's average selling price of $1,600 per oz in the first quarter gold is now $1729 that bodes really well, even if I was surprised by the admission that although the Kiziltepe joint venture has paid off the bank loan for building the plant, there remains a working capital loan of $8.5 million which is due to be settled by October 2021. In the broad scheme of things, whilst disappointing to discover (no doubt if I had studied Ariana's annual report I would have turned it up), I don't think it is a big issue but it does affect my confidence a little: how can the JV be largely free of debt with an $8.5 million pile of....er....debt! But since this is working capital, it suggests that it really is temporary cash to grease the machinery so it is not that big a concern. At 4p per share I still see plenty of speculative upside in Ariana, and my hope is that Kerim Sener will deliver the proposed corporate action before long. The latest deadline is the end of June, by which time Ariana will have posted its FY19 results and the AGM will be on the way: a perfect time to seek shareholder approval and offer up a dividend? We shall see and I'm holding on to my shares tightly with a new target to cash in a slice of the pie at 5p. | bigglesbingham

29/5/2020 20:26 | In fact the more I think about the 3x for new resources I feel Kerim has had this planned for a long time in regard to the expanded JV. We get 3x exploration to put into the mine and then receive our percentage still. Maybe that's why things haven't been proved up as quickly as some would have liked over the years. Kerim is a man with a plan and we are lucky to be along for the ride I feel. | lottsgold
29/5/2020 20:12 | Any announced resource will be going toward a very profitable mine and any resource that still needs proving up can be sold in for 3x exploration by my recollection. So either way very positive. | lottsgold
29/5/2020 19:41 | Tavsan is imminent but if that predates the new JV then how will it all work out? | 8rad
29/5/2020 17:48 | Definitely higher than here | bigglesbingham
29/5/2020 16:56 | Ramadam is over, Covid-19 lockdown is easing, gold is a flying, and news is a coming. weekend will soon be over and so will June, better in than out. GLA 6X a calling. | renniks2016
29/5/2020 16:25 | Not too worried either way. Have a load since 1.6p and I don’t chase SPs to get in any more. Got burned doing that way too much over the years. It will drop back a bit or it won’t. | alwaysevolving |
