Not sure if the first hole in the ground would be reported in rns because they have already told us it's happening from September. I would personally rns the fact but not KS style to rns every operational progression.

Not consistently, Plasybryn. I sold out in frustration and despair at something like 1.25p, IIRC, and bought back in again later. But I first bought AAU in 2007.

My first buy was 200k at 1.623p on 2nd Nov 2016, and my best buy 200k at 1.33p on 30th June 2017.

I have traded in and out, particularly to free up funds to invest in GGP and SVE both of which have been very good to me.

For all the reasons outlined in the last few posts, I am currently sat with my highest holding at 1.45m shares and I have no need or intention of selling any of those for at least the next 18 months while the dividends trickle through.

"Plus the price has quadrupled in three years!"

For those of us who bought in at 7.7p fourteen years ago this is not very satisfactory.

Use of the word ‘exceptional’ and phrases like ‘exactly right’ may seemingly add some authority to an opinion. Opinions abound and many of which are delivered by very clever people, no doubt. There is a big difference between being very clever and being intelligent. Kerim is an intelligent individual who may be misunderstood by some. He is simply connecting the dots and Ariana will reap the rewards, but DYOR.

renniks, yup with you and bb on this. aau are doing a grand job (pr and divi handling aside).

and then there is the next bull leg of the gp to look forward to...i hang on to hopes that basel 3 will provide at least some action on this.

the current hiatus in the share price is extremely frustrating especially given the undervaluation but given time it will be sorted by market forces...eventually...

How can you say that when they have just declared a 15% special dividend ? That is contrary to nothing trickling down to shareholders. Plus the price has quadrupled in three years!

Surely the 'parts of the business that interest them' are the same parts that will provide future growth, revenue and opportunity, so that is also in our best interests as shareholders, is it not?

A lot seam to want to have their cake and eat it, too. S1) So they invest revenue to grow and expand portfolio, develop existing assets, increase resource estimates, extend mine life, build new mines, find new targets, increase company value with the above , which is then reflected in an increased mcap and share price, but wait, I want rewarding too, S2) so give revenue money to share holders via regular dividend instead? so what happens to S1) It slows down, some wont even happen, short term policy to pump the share price on unsustainable growth through lack of investment, ok so might attract some institutional investment, but is that really the be all and end all here, I don't think so, but thats me, we all have choices to make, and I believe if you come across a team, as proficient and passionate about what they do, as those at AAU, in the game they are in, with the assets they have and with the track record of the last couple of years, in the cilmate we find ourselves in, then at some point in the future, you will realise that you have found, quite literally a 'gold mine' Here enddeth the lesson for today. Enjoy the weekend, you never know what is around the corner.

Post 7429 from JAF1948 was really exceptional.

"The market has come to realize that Ariana is a superb geological enterprise which may well become quite lucrative, but that there is no guarantee that same wealth will ever trickle down to the shareholders. The more the company earns either directly or through JVs, the more the company is able to spend on the parts that are of more interest to them which would of course mean less to distribute to shareholders".

This is exactly right.

bb, "As to owning 100% we don’t have the infrastructure to do that and it’s certainly a no go in my time frame. As long as minority interests are covered then derisks company in terms of jurisdiction and tying capital up."

completely agree on that!

Just reading last couple days posts. I believe they have the cash cow to fund ops and regular dividends , KS said when tarsvan on board regular divs will be paid. This will appear 6-12 months after the third special dividend. The special dividend is a way of passing money to shareholders I believe a few more special divs may be in the offing if Cyprus turns out to be as expected. Salinbas will be either a strong addition to producing portfolio or a sale a sale will result in special div. As to owning 100% we don't have the infrastructure to do that and it's certainly a no go in my time frame. As long as minority interests are covered then derisks company in terms of jurisdiction and tying capital up. The reason he mentioned asguard to me is clear, I believe he's saying we've found a cracker of a project be patient. Additions to rns regarding and facet of the companies progress is a positive to me!!!
