Time to move on and start looking at the potential. Over the last couple of years I've wobbled in faith with Kerim but you can't argue that he doesn't have a plan. I'm here until Salinbas circa 2025 if all goes to plan the returns will be better than most other investments IMHO.

With the new processing capacity about to come on line, this grade, when filtered in with the existing stock pile will bring oz volume right up, add another year to mine life, and still more potential down dip. The increased silver credits will far exceed additional cost of transporting, so cost average still low. Happy days.

Going back to drill it out as well, shows the significance this has when you combine it with the new ball mill.If we can get news on Tavsan over the next few months on top of the increased income potential at Kizil this will have to re rate.

Capital gains derived by a company generally are taxable as ordinary income (15%). However, 75% of capital gains derived from the sale of domestic participations are exempt from corporation tax subject to certain conditions which include sale of properties and transfer of shares.

So their smug look yesterday might have been mistaken for a 'wait and see smile' 97% increase in contained gold ounces over previous resource estimate (2020) and a 310% increase over the Feasibility Study Resource (2013). -- Significant positive increase in average grade to 7.14g/t Au + 64.65g/t Ag.

JV - no royalty of 1-2 %. most of the others get it - specially if the model is explore, discover, define and sell.

sell consists of: shares, cash, warrants, royalty.....

we got cash and no "cream income" that does not depend on the JV partners or other factors such a profitability of the operations, JV financing requerments etc

"the exact structure of the dividend payment was a work in progress and was influenced by several factors and complexities along the way. Yesterday was the first time we were able to state the structure of the dividend."

exactly what I was saying - corporate structure is too complicated and to me untransparent and it is getting even more so with each further step

You lot aren't doing yourself any favours! Don't you want to generate new interest beyond the 12 posters on here? 14% yield even if split over three tranches is a great return. Where else on AIM are you getting that with the security you have here? It's not that easy running a successful company and they are not doing a bad job of it even if it doesn't meet your ideal model.

Thanksamillion - one reason I'm here may be connected with getting a kick out of self flagellation, since I still have a small holding and should have sold the balance earlier, but always looking for proof that I'm not any more silly than other investors here.

Good luck to the punters who bought into the company in its infancy, but I didn't.
As an insignificant holder, I do have the luxury of being able to see the wood beyond the trees, so can afford to be just a little bit more dispassionate than the larger holders who are more aligned to the company's fortunes.

My experience suggests that complexity rarely results in a good outcome, and AAU seems to have it in spades. This complexity might be there for a purpose, ie to create a smoke screen, so as to avoid having to deal with the nitty gritty, that is if they're capable ; hence my negativity here. Great if I'm proved wrong, but so far........

Seems to take a long time for the clever people here to open their eyes. Supposed financial intelligence may be in abundance here, but what is it they say ; common sense is not so common.

AIM-listed Gold producer in Turkey, Ariana (AAU), has done very well over the past couple of years and shareholders now find themselves on the cusp of a decent payday. The long-awaited Special Dividend has been announced – in three tranches – for a total of 0.7p per share (as long-predicted on these pages), with the first payment of 0.35p per share due during Q3 and the balance during the coming year. Hooray and double hooray: it has taken some time, but CEO Kerim Sener has delivered. So where now for the shares?

It's not a great day, is it? This was supposed to be the start of our re-rating wasn't it? I can't see so many wanting to reinvest their dividend now. share price progress, if any, might be slow. I confess to having reduced my holding a while back. Now I wish I had been more draconian. This trickle feed approach may keep me on board but it won't generate enthusiasm. I'll hold for the £30K, but the £15K, or the possible £15K? I'm afraid my suspicions about the board in regard of smaller investors seem to have been well founded. IMO this isn't what we were told to expect and, as often before, detail seems absent. Call me a cynic, but my reading of the investment fund is as a mechanism to allow KS to stay in Australia indefinitely. Oh well, we punters in the audience can only wait for the magician on stage to pull a rabbit from his hat and then applaud wildly. But the market...?

Given attitude today and the possibility of buybacks, I think we need to give serious thought to my post in Feb, repeated below:

I fear the bulk of the buyback shares will be used for management share options which I would oppose on the grounds of past behaviour. If they stated the shares were to be cancelled I might consider it.

As a further comment, I think we should vote against any future resolution disapplying pre-emption rights to protect ourselves from any future fundraising and dilution. We have sufficient funds at the moment for the forseeable future and could raise debt for any capital works should we need to develop.

As Paul Scott of Stockopedia comented: "I feel it is wrong for companies to routinely disapply pre-emption rights. It's a core principle of company law that existing shareholders should be allowed to protect their % shareholding in any fundraisings, with an automatic right to buy new shares pro rata to existing holdings. I think it's wrong that this principle is so routinely waived by companies. What we need is a modernised system, to allow fundraisings to be done much more quickly, cheaply, and electronically."

Totally right soulsauce. What was the point on focusing on that today?
I still don't understand either, why the dates of the special payout weren't confirmed. They didn't answer that simply question.
It would be a good idea if some investors turned up at the AGM and confronted them face to face. Michael was all smarmy at the end of the Webinar asking shareholders to register their votes in favour of the resolutions!

Hmmm good post Plasybryn.

I must admit that 25% figure did raise an eyebrow and questioned why it was even in there.
That 25% was probably most important because it came often at great pain to PIs and without it the company would not have been conceived or survived.
