19/7/2021 13:57 | had to do a little top up at these levels | xow98
19/7/2021 13:03 | johnswan, yeah hope so. | konil
19/7/2021 12:49 | Just topped up with some daft cash saved in lockdown, almost immediatly a similar sized sale went through, draw your own conclusions. | thanksamillion
19/7/2021 12:26 | £15k traded today Konil, and FTSE -2%. Red everywhere, I'm not too bothered by the share price action. | johnswan193
19/7/2021 12:23 | It feels like buying time is here again. A special Divi of 20% is not one to be sneezed at! What I like about a special divi is that it is nailed on and it's ours to spend however we like. They can't take it away and it will not be affected by the ups and downs of the share price. Now all we need is that dividend policy RNS. Come on Kerim you have kept us waiting long enough - so let's have it now. | charles clore
19/7/2021 12:15 | I've got 485k SVE. I'd be livid with them if they were unloading any AAU given the imminent special dividend. | zedder
19/7/2021 12:15 | Looking forward to the company presentation tomorrow. Wonder if they will start the day with a bit of good news re dividend | d1g3y
19/7/2021 12:12 | beginning to wonder about the divi, more delays or some other (maybe worse) bad news? share price action not promising. | konil
19/7/2021 11:52 | here is an assessment of the the pra fudge to basel3 to water it down for lbma, imo well worth a read. seems like there could be some impact on the physical market when basel3 with pra fudge comes in for uk banks in january 2022, and perhaps less ability for the unallocated (paper) market to manipulate prices. | konil
18/7/2021 16:22 | Are we back to combination of starvest who have declared reduced holding and estate of Bruce Rowan then ? Human nature is once you do something it's easier to continue to do it. Same applies to sale of shares in a company you have held for a while. Once you do something once it's easier to do it a second time good or bad. | bigglesbingham
18/7/2021 16:16 | Agree totally | bigglesbingham
18/7/2021 16:15 | Yep every 1% above 3% so every 1% equates to 10 m hmmmm | bigglesbingham
18/7/2021 16:07 | I hold 37.75m but been adding since I sold for my tax bill you may be right | bigglesbingham
18/7/2021 14:26 | That's very true, but was it enough to pay the special dividend without the need to materialise profit from others? Only time will tell. Either way the selling will stop at some point or just be over taken by the demand to buy, which I must admit has not that strong recently, but suits me, long term going in one direction with a few ups and downs on the way, short term could easily explode north very quickly. Imho | renniks2016
18/7/2021 13:10 | We are back to square one then. So who the fxxx is selling? | charles clore
18/7/2021 13:06 | Looking forward to next week, could be the start of something good and divis. | thanksamillion
18/7/2021 13:01 | AAU lists JIM nominees holding 7.23% at 30/06/21. Looks like very similar to your figures Renniks - 7.05% at 01/02/21. I have had a quick look at the RNS for Jarvis Capital Reduction and special dividend and taken the following from it: "The capital reduction from the court has enabled the company to release accumulated reserves that were not previously legally distributable. An element of these distributable reserves is from the profit on the sale of shares held in treasury. This gain was previously not recognised in the financial statements as treasury shares are not marked to market price." Jarvis has in effect sold some of its own shares which were held in treasury to realise profits. | masterg1
18/7/2021 12:35 | Surely the Jarvis Securities is the cumulative total of PI holdings with them. I wasn't aware we had any big holdings outside the one's already mentioned that might be selling. | soulsauce
18/7/2021 12:12 | But surely Jarvis would have to declare such an enormous cumulative sell. Would it be every 1%? | charles clore
18/7/2021 11:11 | Morning, Last reported holding date- 01-02-21 they held 7.05% (76,499,916) See how accurate that is against your listed holding of 32,003,422 (no data available regarding date) | renniks2016
18/7/2021 10:34 | Inflation , a real wealth killer, I am sure most on here remember the 70s. We have a few generations now who have never experienced it and don't understand its danger. I still dont believe anyone knows the possible bad effects of QE let alone the spending on this pandemic. To hold some real gold makes mores sense now than it ever has. | auphilman
18/7/2021 10:00 | How many did they hold? | bigglesbingham
16/7/2021 16:48 | I only hold a paltry 100k but need .9p = £900 to pay for my new Callaway apex golf irons please ASAP 😂 | millwallfan
16/7/2021 14:28 | Biggles-With regards to your long term seller, I also have the same theory, but I'll go one step further and suggest it is Jarvis Securities, my reason being their announcement of a special dividend themselves, I believe they are materialising profits to enable payment of this and we happen to be one of their major holdings. Just a thought! 16/7/2021 13:51 | My guess has always been 1p and I based that on tax charges at 22%. Shareprophets must base their 0.7 figure on 45% tax charges. I'd rather trust my own calcs. | bigglesbingham |
