23/6/2021 14:36 | Cyprus- Drilling started early April- Drilling is currently focused on the vicinity of a small historical open pit, with a total of eight holes planned at Kokkinoyia, spanning 1,260m, to further test the known mineralisation and provide material for metallurgical test-work. The drilling is also targeting extensions of mineralisation previously encountered in historical underground workings. Over the next few months, the company hopes to explore the remaining areas comprising the Magellan Project, moving its rig to the Klirou and New Sha sectors. Throughout this process, Venus Minerals has introduced innovative technologies and practices, many of which are being applied in Cyprus for the very first time. The company uses state-of-the-art, low-impact exploration methods, and plans to introduce modern mining and mineral-processing to minimise impact and maximise efficiency. Meanwhile, in light of the drilling programme moving ahead, three, young, recently-qualified local geologists have joined the Venus Minerals technical team. So I think we will get some results though in July/August. | ![]() renniks2016
23/6/2021 13:59 | Konil, you’ll be more up to speed in the area than I am but has Basel III been ‘deferred&rsqu “We will also continue our preparations for the final Basel III package, for which the implementation date has now been deferred to 1 January 2023.footnote[10] We will be co-ordinating internationally to ensure that implementation will happen alongside other major jurisdictions, and will engage with the UK Government on the legislative approach” Re Salinbas, the founder of Ozaltin was born about 40 miles away. Suspect they will be keen to honour his legacy and that the Salinbas mine / operation will be a tad special. | ![]() mcmather
23/6/2021 13:02 | as a little light relief while we introspect on aau internals, i remain somewhat surprised at the gp in the run up to implementation of basel3 on 28 june for euro banks and 01 july for u.s. banks (01 jan 2022 for u.k. banks). could it be the last hurrah for the manipulators? either all the expectations of many industry experts/commentators are way off track, as has often happened, or there will be a huge upward adjustment in the gp. i hope for the latter of course with the thought in mind that moves in the metal price are reflected approximately by 3 to 5 times in miner pricing. roll on 28 june. let's see what happens in coming weeks/months. | ![]() konil
23/6/2021 12:21 | It is my understanding from the beginning of the JV that Ozaltin would be happy to leave the mining decisions to AAU and Proccea. Given the private nature of Ozaltin's corporate structure I have always been doubtful of the new partnership's ability to further shareholder expectations and although I can see some decent advantages in the partnership it has always struck me as giving away too much of the family jewels for too little cash and losing a significant amount of corporate control over Turkish assets. There has been no news regarding the structure of the new partnership since its inception and until AAU shareholders get a flavour of future plans, areas of responsibility, accountability etc. we are trapped in a vacuum where there will be no new investors in AAU and AAU will, and is already showing strong signs of, becoming a lifestyle company. We all know how successful AAU has been in its previous partnership with Proccea over the past 4 or 5 years so my question is - what exactly has Ozaltin brought to the party? And why has the AAU management persistently ignored shareholders questions surrounding operational matters and dissatisfaction with the house broker and PR? When will the bod finally step up to the plate and come clean with a SCHEDULE of future plans with DEADLINES? | ![]() charles clore
23/6/2021 11:31 | Doubt that Soul as they don't have the know how but I did enjoy your rant earlier.....unfortun | ![]() 8rad
23/6/2021 11:27 | soul, i don't know about work to date at salinbas but just looking at the licence areas it seems vast so they may not want to/be able to start drilling at all targets concurrently, but admittedly i don't really know the current plan. kaos, i'm guessing ozaltin did not have a defined operations plan for their input to the jv (other than high level cash commitments) prior to jv completion. they have now had 6 months to devise a plan, so we should start hearing about this and anything already achieved. soon, hopefully! | ![]() konil
23/6/2021 10:59 | No rose tints about that konil, totally agree. The only thing I will say is what is there to plan at Salinbas? The geologists should already know where we need to drill there from what we already know and they have had well over a year to plan the next moves. Unless Ozaltin have decided to rip up the play book. | ![]() soulsauce
23/6/2021 10:51 | what I am interested in is the report what contribution did our new JV partner in engineering and financing terms since in - that was supposed to put the rocket under the operational performance imho - so what is it? | ![]() kaos3
23/6/2021 10:40 | It feels like these good drill results are yet another in a series of strong foundations. What we all need to see is the full blueprint of what is being built | ![]() d1g3y
23/6/2021 10:37 | I don't disagree they need to change panmure Gordon and yellow jersey as there are no end results. We all know the story here is excellent but no one telling it. | ![]() bigglesbingham
23/6/2021 10:25 | I have to agree I ploughed my regular spare cash into Ariana for many years but now i'm having to look around for other places as I want something I can get my teeth into. I dont doubt this is a safe place but until I actually see a plan I can't get excited about the future and add to my holding. Hopefully we're here something before the AGM if not they are going to be bombarded with what's going on with this what's going on with that style questions. That's not how it should be, time for a proper presentation I feel. | ![]() lottsgold
23/6/2021 10:12 | Indeed it does bigglesbingham but it doesn't excite anyone outside the company and as it is PI's we need to buy in to move the SP, given the lack of institutions, then we will continue to meander. We know the mindset of most PI's, they are chasing the latest bagger and why not. They are not looking to put their money in to a company that offers little excitement, when they are obviously overly conservative by their own admission and have no plan to gauge the company on. Look the company raised poorly in the past, it added no institutions. PG was taken on to fill the void and abjectly failed. The consequence is this is and will remain a share price heavily influenced by PI's and fickle PI pundits and until that gets through to the thick obstinate skulls at AAU HQ this will be a company to have a nice bit of safe money in but it is never going to set your heart racing which is what your average Joe PI is looking for more often than not. Rant over. | ![]() soulsauce |
