The dividend procedure dates have already been published by the London Stock Exchange.

Any variation would require agreement in advance with the Stock Situations Team. Given there is nothing unique about AAU's dividend then it would be highly unusual to go against the pre-determined publishing dates.

Interesting theory rennicks and you may be right but I am not sure how that fits in with the Aim rules, if what you are saying is they are holding news back.

renniks, yeah join the club down here below the waves! hope that's a sea horse and not a trojan horse. in theory we should know in about 3 weeks or less. i'm still hoping that they incorporate some profits into the special payout to make it a little bigger than anticipated.

Hi Plas, who knows, your guess is probably better than mine ;) I'm under water here, but the oxygen tank is full and I'm enjoying the rich picking on the sea bed! For me the fundamentals suit my risk profile, and will be for some time I think, question i'm asking my self, all in now, or dry powder for ex-div date? ooh look there's sea horse!

Like it Renniks2016. Does this mean the time between the announcement, ex dividend and pay out dates will all be very concertina'ed (if there is such word) - short in other words. I've always admired your unflinching trust in the way Ariana are playing this. Fingers crossed. We are almost there.

Scenario- A friend of mine has a company which he has grown from nothing, into a very profitable business, he has devoted the last 12 years of his life into getting this business to the very edge of something massive, not alone, but with the financial support of some very loyal friends, the business has undergone some transformational changes in the last year, which now enables 'my friend' to repay those who have helped him achieve what he has today, this is by way of a special payment, but he has a dilemma, he is also entitled to this payment, but wants to reinvest this into the business, as he knows where it is going and how big it can be, but delays due to one thing and another have meant that this has not moved along as quickly as he was hoping, as such news is backing up when he was hoping to have had his 'special payment' reinvested by now, so does he A-Stall on the news to enable his reinvested money buying him more for his buck. or B- trickle feed news into the market but not market this info or shout about it, thus having the same affect as option A without the regulatory obligations being questioned. Either way once the scenario's play out, someone will make some descent amounts. Wakey wakey. ;)

I'm sure you're right, Konil / donothin', but the fundamentals haven't changed (at least not for the worse).

Just a (somewhat extended) buying opportunity, perhaps..?

I am a bit disappointed in how long it takes for the Company to do anything relating to the legal side. I note that they have only just submitted (on 19th of June)the documents relating to meetings of 30 December 2020 and 26 February 2021 to Companies House. My guess is that it is the responsibility of the Company Secretary - MDV

You would imagine Ozaltin would want to see movement ASAP given the amount of money they've spent....I'm sure we'll get fed up of too much news soon enough!

mining is generally a slow burn undertaking and if there was one project on the go then given whatever stage it was at we would know or could guess roughly how long till next news. but my impatience here is twofold;

(a) the longwinded road to get to the divi with scanty comms meanwhile
(b) the fact that there are so many irons in the fire but we hear nothing. the biggest frustration is there has been nothing on how the jv has impacted on the ongoing projects, i would have expected all of them to have benefited in some way but 6 months on and not a word? and iirc some are now close to being overdue on next step?

i have nothing to base it on but i get a feeling aau is not getting full input from ks and i guess he was the prime mover prior to jv, so if he is not all over ozaltin then its large size could cause undue delays.

the sp, undervalued as it is, must be symptomatic of this.

On January 5th, I wrote on here: 'I see a well run and profitable company but one that is run more like a private company than a public one.'

Nothing that has happened since then has altered my opinion.

Lol not a problem paul280. I know I can be outspoken at times. It's my Yorkshire upbringing see, I feel the need to call a spade a shovel instead of taking a breath and counting to 10 sometimes 😉

Sorry Soul, I re-read my comment after another couple of beers and realised that it could be taken as excluding you from my wishes of a good weekend, not as intended excluding you from the forgiving/forgetting comment. I know you have a long memory!

They were shocking biggles but we have seen this too many times with England.
If only they had put half the soul and passion in to the game that Wales showed in beating Turkey then we might have got a result.
I was almost willing Scotland to score in the end as we deserved nothing.

Tend to agree..
AAU MUST be on the cusp of good news, simply by the law of averages, following such an extended period of apparent 'inactivity'.

The recent becalmed SP, but especially today's dip back to 4.7p(!), perhaps ought be considered as the daddy of all 'ad hoc' buying opportunities, then?

Pays your money takes your choice, sort of thing...
