soul, imo there was bound to some sort of hiatus after the activity leading up to the jv, at least i was not expecting news of forward plans for some time. however, i did think that progress on divi would have been more apparent, even though finalisation is dependent on court dates and therefore not under aau control. and now that we are some months on from jv completion news on forward plans and ballpark timetables would be expected.

like you, i am most concerned about ks's time on aau, i hope he hasn't taken his eye off the aau ball too much. although not a requirement it would be good for shareholder relations if ks gave some indication of how he is splitting his time, and what he is doing on the aau agenda. after all he and his track record of delivering a mine from nothing is the reason many shareholders are here and if he is too distracted elsewhere, or even the possibility that he might be, is a big downer for aau. these uncertainties may well be why we are not seeing much positive movement in the share price

Wouldn't it just konil.

I thought that as soon as the JV was done we would get a flood of news about plans for Salinbas etc and maybe some more heads up on acquisitions. No such luck.

At the moment it just seems like the same limbo we had for the long wait for the JV to be finalized.

I would also like to be sure that Kerim is still 100% dedicated to AAU because PALM could be taking up quite a bit of his time at the moment with his pet projects in Oz.

pity is that while these uncertainties exist the share price misses out on reflecting the up move in pms. instead more likely holders will exit to take advantage elsewhere.

would be nice to know what is going on.

Jaf - I hope Kerim reads that! I'm beginning to think he's changed his mind and can't find the courage to tell us.

It took 9 days to create the first Nightingale hospital.
It took 116 days to write the US Constitution.
It took 410 days to build the Empire State Building.

It is now 529 days since Ariana announced its intention to pay a special dividend.

I think cryptos pegged back the recovery of gold from high $1600s. I see gold hitting well into the $2000s this year and silver above $30. Inflation tends to be a slow burner but it's here and gold and silver the place to be. Copper long term is an excellent prospect. I would love AAU to pick up more copper assets with any new purchase. Think we'll see $5 soon and then not look back. All will be great for the bottom line

Data from the World Gold Council for Q1 2021 shows that bar and coin investment was – unsurprisingly – significantly up compared to the first quarter of 2020 when the pandemic kicked in, but was still an improvement on Q4 2020, with 'building inflationary pressures' cited. Investors of all sizes are hurt by inflation, so it's logical that retail bullion purchases would be rising. This is the basis of almost all forecasts for the gold price this year: inflation's impact on the economy causing a rise in asset prices but also triggering increased safe-haven demand. Many forecasts predict $2,300 per ounce to be hit later this year, while more moderate assessments still see gold passing the $2,000 mark again like last August. There's an appetite for gold at present. Gold is up 3% in the past month. Covid is still hurting the global economy, and there's "substantial inflation" according to billionaire broker Warren Buffett. All the signs suggest the gold forecasts are correct, so we could be a matter of weeks away from seeing gold embark on another spectacular bull run.

Co's sometimes, mistakenly inmy opinion, for some strange reason, think it is a good idea to try to get rid of stale bulls. Ariana probably has a lot of those who have shown immense loyalty over many years. The special payout (still waiting) the Polo Shirts, the mine visits etc. were all great initiatives but since Covid that relationship with investors seems to have gone awry. Come on Kerim think carefully about what you are doing.

IMO, every day is proving more and more that Kerim is a great geologist but a poor CEO. As a geologist, he can do and go where the fancy takes him - as a CEO, his role is much more clearly defined.

I believe the company is undervalued so am holding but won't be adding any more until the current information hiatus is resolved. This state of affairs is not helping the share price and imho explains the dissatisfaction expressed by shareholders on this thread. So Kerim please get your finger out, stop passing the buck and do your job!

Said in frustration - I doubt I'll stop listening to interviews.

However, I suspect there is a class of investor who ONLY rely on RNS-ed information.
