04/5/2021 13:39 | Charles I think JAF was using a touch of sarcasm ;-) It is a shame that having a 'good' broker (apparently) we are not getting the best out of them, if only we had used the dregs of brokerage as sparingly back in the day instead of assisting very ably in pulling shareholders pants down and then sharply back up for the ultimate wedgie. | ![]() soulsauce
04/5/2021 13:38 | Charles,My comment was sarcasm after Biggles said I was 'silly' to say that the board's interests could be different to those of shareholders as they were shareholders too. | ![]() jaf1948
04/5/2021 13:35 | I believe the company is still far too small to attract any major investors, £50m cap is never going to attract big buyers - £1m will buy you 20m shares or 2% then the share price soars and the price is too high. Within 5 years I hope to see £150m cap, at that level we may see the nibbles start. | ![]() thanksamillion
04/5/2021 13:33 | JAF - what is good for KS and the board is certainly NOT always good for ordinary shareholder. I am talking about their remuneration package which, although I am sure they have earned it, the shareholders also deserve something back for investing in the company and waiting patiently for any little crumbs thrown their way. Even the dividend doesn't reward patience as any man and his dog will be able to benefit from it when it is announced with no preferential treatment for loyal holders who have waited years and painfully watched while directors have helped themselves. It would be nice to get the special dividend finalised and a detailed plan for the future developments. I think the bod owe us that much. | ![]() charles clore
04/5/2021 13:20 | Having spoken to them on many occasions highlighting my thoughts and those on this board I genuinely believe he trusts PG he's not chosen them with a hidden agenda to do something which works against shareholders. I personally agree with soul and believe the PR is the major flaw with AAU and they know my thoughts verbally and in writing. KS is the MD he makes the decisions I think he's misguided here. My reason for saying is that there are missed opportunities to market the company which were Dismissed as ramping eg recent rise in silver and there are no institution investors which PG were brought in to develop. My timeline still fits will poor marketing if it didn't then I would be more frustrated. | ![]() bigglesbingham
04/5/2021 12:42 | I thought we had been told that because Kerim is also a shareholder, what's good for him is good for us as well. | ![]() jaf1948
04/5/2021 12:35 | You are preaching to the converted with me Charles, as you know it has been a running sore for me for many years. I can only assume the company is happy for them to work in this way as it suits their under promise over deliver mantra. The only problem with that, as we have noticed for many years, is that although it may suit Kerim it does not suit the share price and consequently shareholders. Same goes for YJ, so what's the point in either of them. | ![]() soulsauce
04/5/2021 12:14 | We've been saying how ineffectual the AAU house broker is for years. But the company seems to like them. I would have given them the heavy boot years ago but there must be a reason for keeping them on. If anyone could explain this to me I would be grateful. | ![]() charles clore

04/5/2021 10:00 | given aau's obvious assets and clear undervaluation, together with imminent step changes in production at kizil followed by progress at tavsan, not to mention the upcoming bumper dividend, yj should be banging the drums and proactively seeking out investors amongst the gold/silver/copper bugs and boutique asset managers, supported by robust properly revised research notes from the broker. too much to ask no doubt but management should give them a kick or sack them! | ![]() konil
04/5/2021 09:48 | Copper may be flirting with record highs but the metal is far from peaking as the energy transition revs up, according to Newmont Corp. Chief Executive Officer Tom Palmer. Futures hit $10,000 a metric ton on Thursday for the first time since 2011 as mines struggle to keep up with surging demand. Newmont, the world’s largest gold producer, is increasing exposure to copper through several “mega projects,” Palmer said on an earnings call. Even if just one materializes, copper will account for 15-20% of the company’s total output by the end of the decade, he said. “I’m pretty excited about having good exposure to copper at that time when the world is going through the energy transition,” Palmer said on an interview with Bloomberg TV following the earnings call. “Copper’ The copper push doesn’t mean Palmer has a downbeat view on gold. He sees bullion prices holding their current “very healthy levels” or even moving higher given fiscal and monetary stimulus. India should remain one of the key sources of demand after the country recovers from the Covid-19 tragedy, Palmer said. | ![]() julianc35
04/5/2021 09:48 | JLP are only poking around the bins, but it's good for them that they are expanding outside Africa. CHF is still the best way to access to Cypriot copper. Re gold and silver miners, did anyone see the after hours RNS at ALTN last Friday? | ![]() excellance
04/5/2021 09:31 | JLP looking to also get into Copper in Cyprus. See RNS this morning from JLP & CMRS. AAU was ahead of the game. Great move by Ariana for sure. | ![]() plasybryn
04/5/2021 09:30 | Nice to see a little move up and bit of support for the share price also. I've added a bit to my smaller holding recently having cashed out a couple of others to release some funds for some time off work at the beginning of the year. Back in the game now and AAU seems to be at the beginning of another period of momentum, hopefully shaking off the mess they made of communicating/landin | kirbs4

04/5/2021 07:29 | Plas, Looking at some of the Au & Ag grades in Cyprus, and sure does make me think that what we have there, is going to be very interesting indeed, quite excited about this, and 50% earn to Venus will be completed by Nov. at 2m this has got to be better than the Asgard deal! (JLP) Jubilee, the AIM and Altx traded metals processing company refers its shareholders to the announcement released today by Caerus Mineral Resources ("Caerus") (LON: CMRS), an exploration and resource development company focused on developing mineral resources in Cyprus with a focus on copper and gold. 03/5/2021 15:59 | It was relevant to the climb in the share price in 2020, and also to the decline in Q1 21, the difference now is we have an abundance of news coming, including dividend and gold is starting off from a higher base, a steady climb to 8p before Q4 is my prediction, and I being conservative, if gold breaks above $1900 that could be lower end of scale. Imho. | ![]() renniks2016
