03/5/2021 15:14 | AAU chart looking good. I think we are in an upwave which should last until Sept-Oct and take us over 10p. | ![]() backmarker
03/5/2021 15:11 | we should have more bank holidays. Gold seems to go up when our markets are closed. | ![]() backmarker

03/5/2021 10:21 | I’m glad Kerim has decided to diversify out of Turkey. I can’t think of any other reason for our undervaluation. | ![]() a.fewbob
03/5/2021 09:59 | Hi A.Fewbob we are currently drilling in Cyprus and have now earnt in to 23% of the project. There is already a resource there, which is the first on the island since exploration restarted - 9.5mt @ 0.6% copper but with significant gold and other metals. But don't forget about the very significant copper potential at Salinbas as well and whatever new asset(s) we may drop on in eastern Europe with our cash pile. Drilling should be completed in Cyprus shortly with results in the summer. | ![]() soulsauce
03/5/2021 09:37 | Been a bit lazy and stopped following this stick despite being a holder!! Can someone please give me an update on our new project going into Cyprus? I believe it was a copper project but have to admit, I’m not sure anymore!! If so, Kerim has proven to be incredibly shrewd! Copper is tipped to go really really well over the next few years!! | ![]() a.fewbob

30/4/2021 12:52 | I think the company will be a much more attract proposition to new investors in twelve months so exit would hopefully not be a problem . But that is real finger in the air stuff. | ![]() bigglesbingham
30/4/2021 12:34 | There's no 2 ways about it, undiversifying is riskier. However, I have done it. AAU now comprises 100% of my portfolio. I thought it was acceptable risk to take once the jv with Ozaltin was complete so that the value of the company was itself diversified into cash, forthcoming dividend, Turkish assets and Cypriot asset. Will feel even better once the Eastern Europe asset announced. The speed of news announcements feels glacial at times, but this is a small well-run growth company. | ![]() actonovator
30/4/2021 12:14 | Thanks for the views peeps, which are more or less in line with my own. I’ll consider carefully... | ![]() crossfirecssf
30/4/2021 12:06 | Why worry about an exit strategy when it will probably done for us anyway by take out. | ![]() 8rad
30/4/2021 11:54 | I must say I have been tempted to do the same but if there are too many people thinking the same the exit might get a bit tricky? | ![]() lottsgold
30/4/2021 11:33 | Ps it's not how I advise clients incidentally | ![]() bigglesbingham
30/4/2021 11:31 | The philosophy you are contemplating is the one I operate. I too hold CHF. The question of this over exposure is that you know risks and if anything left field hits then you can take the loss | ![]() bigglesbingham
30/4/2021 11:26 | Crossfire. If you decide to do it then do it now with the share price correcting slightly, the chart suggests a move upwards from here.. I dont see any bad news coming from the company in the next 6 months only one good RNS after another. Just dont forget to sell your holding back down to a sensible level within a pre-determined period, regardless of the success or otherwise of your gamble. That should fit in with your "temporary un-diversification" aims. | ![]() thanksamillion
30/4/2021 10:43 | I’m connsidering un-diversifying temporarily (a month or two) for dividend and upcoming news, not to mention the fact that at an average of 0.9p, this has been the most solid performer for me (albeit it’s taken a decade!) It would involve buying around 700k shares. I would normally move independently, but as there are those on this board who’s views I respect and trust, it would be interesting to know if anyone had any take. The only share which makes me nervous abandoning for even a month is KAV, and possibly CHF (apologies for off-topic), so may leave one or both in place. AAU have clearly completed the correction I cited previously (running flat), so the risk seems small, with the dividend consideration (I’m somewhat doubtful of some views on here being expressed regarding the price dropping to reflect the dividend, though if true, that’s already been discounted by the correction). Opinions welcome but do please feel free to ignore. Good luck all... | ![]() crossfirecssf
30/4/2021 09:57 | Yes, you stole the ones I was about to buy! Thanks again lol | ![]() shortarm
30/4/2021 09:22 | Although I bought some six weeks ago at 4.26 | ![]() bigglesbingham
30/4/2021 09:05 | If somebody actually sold them at 4.25 it was definitely an error lol! | ![]() shortarm
30/4/2021 08:54 | This those 4.25 must be an error | ![]() bigglesbingham |
