06/9/2019 12:00 | Show me the BTC mined by ARB is cashable? | roger207
06/9/2019 10:33 | fuji, Yes, it might all happen. I've been researching the take-up of the use of bitcoin for real transactions. It's very hard to find any...but that doesn't mean it doesn't exist. Do you have any worthwhile stats? I would be interested. | ![]() horneblower
06/9/2019 09:53 | I think the shares , which were jointly held by the then Exec Chair, who has subsequently left the board, and the current chair were split in to two separate holdings. The shares being sold are held by the guy who was the chair. I am struggling to find the announcements which set this out. As such, it is simply misleading to suggest an institution is selling shares | stoneme
06/9/2019 09:44 | horneblower - Agree with you that BTC is volatile due to many factors but the evidence is starting to show that many institutions and even companies are starting to accept it and even use it as a transaction currency. There are hotels, taxi companies, Burger King etc. starting to accept it. Many are also using BTC for inter-banking transactions. So I think it will become a fact of life as the world, the internet and the mentalities evolve. In addition, people are not trusting banks anymore following the collapse of many a few years back. The number of transactions done on-line via mobile phones etc. is an evidence that the world is moving to cyber activity. This will, in the long term, minimise the role of banks and the use of cash. Regarding power consumption, again there are also improvements in the hardware sector as efficient components are manufactured. R & D is working full-gear to improve power consumption in this sector as did the pioneers in the semi-conductor industries for micro-processors (ARM Holding being one of them). In addition, mining activity can be partially moved for example into areas where solar/renewable energies are abundant (Hot climates/solar - Dubai, California, New Mexico and Iceland for steam - all very cheap energy). So IMO BTC and ARB have a bright future in front of them. We are only at the inception of the crypto revolution. Who would have thought the advances in the internet applications would reach the present level 20 years ago ? People and societies move forward willing to adapt, accept and adopt more technologically efficient facts of life. | ![]() fuji99
06/9/2019 09:39 | I'd ignore him. Joined 3rd Sept to offer bearish comments to ARB without any substance. Always one | stoneme
06/9/2019 09:21 | fuji, I agree that ARB is doing a great job and that it is outperforming bitcoin as an investment and should continue to do so. You are obviously completely sold on bitcoin and expect it to go stratospheric, but not everybody is. Bitcoin still has no traction as a unit of exchange for goods and services. The current rate of bitcoin/dollar transactions are almost exclusively due to speculation on bitcoin itself not actual payment for stuff. How many transactions for real goods have you yourself performed? Bitcoin's very volatility may be stopping its use as a coin. I reckon bitcoin is likely to hit $20k again, which will be terrific for ARB. But I am not convinced it will go higher. It has too many things against it, not least that it uses rather a lot of the Earth's energy to sustain it! | ![]() horneblower

06/9/2019 08:50 | This is and has always been a matter and a question of focus: Do we look at the long term or just the daily blips and weekly fluctuations ? I remember when VRS was struggling around 10 - 15p with all the gloomers and doomers circling around it for weeks then for months. Out of the blue it crossed 50p, then went all the way up to 185p within a year. We are in the same situation with ARB making already a decent profit. So imagine one buys loads and forgets till say Xmas period just to check the progress. This is how it should be once one understood the prospects of a company. We are in a situation where Bitcoin is becoming a de-facto in everyday life and where many risks are threatening the world economy (with consumers, oil, and basically all industries affected). So where to get invested for the long term if not in cryptos and PM ? It doesn't need a drawing to understand and even predict the future of Bitcoin, to which ARB is tightly linked. So buy and forget for a while, you will be pleasantly surprised in one year or two. | ![]() fuji99

06/9/2019 06:27 | 12 AUG 19 Goldman Sachs Gets Bullish on Bitcoin With a Price Target of $13,971 "In a note to customers, Goldman Sachs gave a bullish forecast for Bitcoin price. Shared on Twitter on Aug. 11, the note suggests a short-term target of $13,971. The target given is based on Elliott Wave Theory, which forecasts market trends by identifying extremes in investor psychology, along with price highs and lows. According to the analyst, Bitcoin will rebound from support around $11,094, leaving room for at least one leg higher towards $12,916 and $13,971. This could complete a V wave count from July, producing a short-term top or consolidation. The bigger picture and longer-term forecast Potentially, the analyst suggests, this could be the first leg of a five wave count. This would mean that any retracement from $12,916-$13,971 levels presents a buying opportunity, as after the consolidation period, price could once again resume higher unless it goes below the previous recent low of $9,084. The note suggests a short-term stop at $10,791" | ![]() lithological heterogeneities

05/9/2019 14:35 | With major capex it's obvious that most current coins mined are being sold to pay for the balance due on kit as it's delivered. By year end they will be throwing off significant excess cash/BTC and would expect a mix of: 1. More investment to get MAAS for inst cranked up 2. Hold some BTC on balance sheet as investment. 3. Consider a dividend with Dec year end results. Announce April. 4. Consider a share buyback in unlikely circumstance that share price remains under IPO. | ![]() idiot441
