Those sub 5p prices were a gift looking back.

10p will look like a gift once the new mining capacity comes online.

Well the spread was 10/10.12 ;)

I think that's me now as I didn't want to bring my average up as bought mostly around 4/5p but what the hell!

It looks like Singapore will establish itself as a crypto hub as western economies alienate investment. I expect the Swiss will end up taking that role in Europe (they are too smart to miss out on the crypto train).

mnmois - I'll just use one of the others which have setup outside FCA numpties reach. They haven't helped any investors at all. Just forced us to move to providers offshore. Of course they also waited until the start of a bull market to implement this as well. Incompetence knows no bounds.

Thanks for advice on not leaving crypto behind. Will do a trial run on account around £500 to get started and make sure have it all working smoothly and on my nano S before looking at a bigger amount and possibly $ funding.

Thanks guys - opened Kraken account. Am just trying to understand their FX fees i.e. have $'s or £'s I could fund with, so trying to understand if charge to trade in £. Seemed reasonable from what could see, but not sure Brasso if you would know off hand or have a preference for £ / $ re funding currency. I think probably I will just fund in $.

Suffers - thanks and nice trade - who you trading through for your short if can ask?

There is not much difference between Kraken, Gemini and Coinbase standard.

Thanks Brasso - was originally thinking Kraken too, then saw some pretty negative reviews on TrustPilot, but then saw that most exchanges seem to have a lot of negative and fake-looking reviews.

Costs are high at present on most exchanges. I prefer Kraken.

Coinbase PRO is cheaper but I do not recall the other requirements for access.

Re message on IG, assume will be same on Plus500? I use IG, but have a shareholding in Plus500, and am sure they will be making some decent money through crypto punters.

Still cannot decide on broker to use to buy my first BTC, but seems like I should be getting it done. So many bad reviews out there on TrustPilot, but not sure if genuine. A friend recommended Coinbase, but not convinced on costs.
Any advice would be appreciated (have a Nano S to store).

Digital gold has gone mainstream. JP Morgan, BlackRock and the biggest names in global finance are now echoing the cypherpunks and suggesting that Bitcoin could replace the yellow metal as a safe haven in investment portfolios.

It's because ARB is an illiquid stock with a 10% spread. So at a minimum you have the 10% spread as a delta. Remove this and the percentage change is about the same. MM's are determining price based on stock orders. How can it be expected to track such a highly liquid asset as BTC?

Funny how ARB is close to 20% down off the high, but BTC isn't. I'm not sure that is negative gearing, more the old round number rubbish (10p) acting like some sort of magnet. "We are all individuals" said the thousands.
