04/2/2022 18:44 | think only a few cents, mainly oil price i would say no idea why any idiot would short aoi, lunacy | martinfrench
04/2/2022 17:54 | Picked it up from Martin, not long ago. Certainly into the blue now! The shell find might have helped today? | rayrac
04/2/2022 16:40 | Too dangerous for shorting obviously ...in Toronto -150.000 since 31/12. $AOI.TO AFRICA OIL CORP. J 254,415 -37,172 31 Jan 2022 $AOI.TO AFRICA OIL CORP. J 291,587 -44,687 15 Jan 2022 $AOI.TO AFRICA OIL CORP. J 336,274 -68,496 31 Dec 2021 | trbutler
04/2/2022 15:09 | ah, similar to me then, been here well over 10 years, remember the highs 2011 ish and then went quiet while kenya was doing nothing i think i picked them up off the tsx new ideas thread, or might have been the link to range resources, not sure | martinfrench
04/2/2022 15:03 | more than 10 years before they climebed to ATH, never sold them. Not really been following anything for a while, but invested more recently and started to follow it as I find it exiting times. Why? | trbutler
04/2/2022 14:58 | Got it TrB! As you say, at least. Can either of you see aoi trying a buyout of Impact, that would give them a much juicier %? | rayrac
04/2/2022 14:52 | when did you start buying into AOI Tr ? | martinfrench
04/2/2022 14:51 | do the negative fanclub not know we have a rather large revenue stream from prime ? easily affordable, and anyway only a minority partner impact will sell anyway i would guess | martinfrench
04/2/2022 14:48 | Ray see my profile re sizes. At least 10 x as seen from above... Also compared to another quite huge discovery it has a larger footprint like seen here africaoilgasreport.c | trbutler
04/2/2022 14:41 | bloody hell, with oil > 92.60 as i type, that hedge is a little out of date i dont want april to roll around but will be sweet at these prices cant be far off $500 mill from prime this year | martinfrench
04/2/2022 14:39 | Before it happens .. predicting the negative fan club will point out how expensive it will be to develop and how much AOI will need to put up if Venus hits oil. | trbutler
04/2/2022 14:28 | and "most anticipated drill of the year" from most quotes keith hill will never drill a bigger one apparently | martinfrench
04/2/2022 14:27 | it is ray, our drill is 1.5 - 2 bill target from memory ours was definately bigger and located deeper i have the scan on my pc if was was admin of the board we could add these things to the header | martinfrench
04/2/2022 14:23 | I believe, when looking at the map of that area of the orange basin, that the footprint for Shell’s find, is a great deal smaller than the Venus footprint/fan. Can’t think where I saw that, I’ll try to find it. | rayrac
04/2/2022 13:18 | Good it's officially a discovery but I'm disappointed with the Press Release. No rough estimates, neither anything regarding commercially viable nor if significant. In fact they are keeping a lot of info, telling the world almost nothing besides what was already known (a light oil discovery of some size). Then mentioning that a second well will be needed (something normal) is in my view the contrary to what they hope to achieve. So when stating "We hope that this discovery puts to rest doubts" I cannot agree. | trbutler
04/2/2022 13:12 | Quite! Rampers plain and simple..they just don’t care if other poor punters lose money. No research or honesty. | rayrac
04/2/2022 12:35 | trp guys not getting their 5 bagger on todays news it seems the idea that venus would be announced same time laughable, why would 2 different drilling campaigns by different companies and different spud dates announce at the same time ? | martinfrench
04/2/2022 12:14 | am pretty much thinking that way ray, now just decide to top up or not, hopefully last ever | martinfrench
04/2/2022 11:51 | Thanks Martin, been out..again. Here’s to the good old orange basin. The deeper they go the better chance of finding oil, ie the further offshore. Venus? Should be okay | rayrac |
