29/7/2019 16:24 | For the information of anyone else who used Barclays Stockbrokers, before they changed to the (so called) Smart Investor: I pm`d smart investor & was told (as above), that as the holding (100k) was held in a private clients, custody only account & to write to them at: Barclays Stockbroker, Tay House, 300 Bath Street, Glasgow, G24LH. As they are totally incompetent, i also sent them instruction to which account the monies should be sent to on receipt & instructions to close the custody only account on transfer of the funds. Their incompetence is advertised by the fact that i have been receiving quarterly consolidated valuation reports for this one shareholding, which have each stated: QUANTITY 100,000 BOOK COST 326,200,000 CAD UNREALISED GAINS GBP 178,984,910.84!!!!!! I did state in my letter, that as you expect me to realise gains of nearly £179 million, perhaps you could arrange a call from one of your wealth advisers, so we can discuss how to invest the proceeds & mitigate any capital gains tax!!!!!!LOL | enfranglais
26/7/2019 19:08 | Risky....just for info....the shares I have in Barclays are not on my acct. but have been removed and are held in non trading "custody only" acct. Probable Selftrade have a similar facility..... | alexkevin
26/7/2019 16:49 | alexkevin, thanks for a quick response. I can’t see my shares in my holdings as Selftrade has removed them from my holdings. I’ll send Selftrade a message for Monday and ask if it can be confirmed with the Antrim share registrar that I’m on their list. | itsriskythat
26/7/2019 14:51 | Hi risky.....Contacted both Barclays and Share centre, both of which hold shares on my behalf......no reply although I can see the shares are there and presumably awaiting payment. If they're asleep on the job....not so surprising maybe.....I guess I'll have to try and wake them up after 1st August. Holding judgement until then..... Good luck | alexkevin
26/7/2019 13:04 | I have a couple of questions .. "Beneficial shareholders should contact their broker, custodian or intermediary through which they hold their common shares for further details regarding the distribution." Is everyone waiting for another announcement by the administrative agent on 1st August or just after before contacting their broker? Has anyone contacted their broker already and can share any response? | itsriskythat
24/7/2019 14:29 | First August I thought. | fardels bear

01/7/2019 19:53 | Just had email response from Mr Potter with copy of Press Release posted on legacy Antrim website - looks same as posted above. Roll on 1 August! | dougdig
30/6/2019 17:18 | Result at last! I wonder if we'll be given an explanation for the time this has taken. | hugepants
30/6/2019 15:24 | You are likely to have made a return of around 30%, about 10% p.a. A decent arbitrage return. | flyfisher
30/6/2019 12:42 | I bought far too many shares in Aug 2016. This distribution will enable an easier lifestyle at long last. I intend to take the cash through drawdown from a SIPP. Did I expect to wait three years? Definitely not. | itsriskythat
30/6/2019 12:35 | Thanks everyone - hardly a fortune but roll on 1 August! Yay!! | dougdig
30/6/2019 07:15 | Thank you hop from me as well. | deans
30/6/2019 05:36 | Chances are Sterling likely to have fallen a little further against the Canadian dollar by then - so should be a plus. | ohisay
29/6/2019 19:26 | Better than i expected, but why does it take a month to distribute it. | flyfisher
29/6/2019 18:52 | I think we can confidently say that at five and a half cents it didn't fulfil its early promise. Over four quid these were at one time. | fardels bear
