Posted at 01/10/2019 12:13 by oilretire That's ridiculous if it's what Barclays have done, especially for AEY shares which had an auditable trail of still having 'value'. You have to nominate a Sharegift of any stock at ii. Recently closed account with them and I had one stock at the end, totally worthless, but I still had to nominate it to charity, they couldn't do it without my instructions. |
Posted at 20/8/2019 09:10 by nick rubens Finally paid out yesterday from liquidation (Jarvis acc). Now an even bigger challenge is trying to make money from shares, rather than losing it. Ironically I made a profit on AEY, though likely because of sterling's weakness. |
Posted at 19/8/2019 14:30 by canigou2 fyi, It would appear Selftrade have sorted this for me today. The important bit is below."Further to the Mandatory Reorganisation becoming effective, we will be crediting your cash account with the Sterling equivalent of USD0.041772 per Share converted at a rate of 1.214571 to the GBP today." The cash appears to be available to trade again in my ISA and AEY are no longer listed in my 'folio. Good luck to everyone else in getting settlement, it's been a long wait! |
Posted at 19/8/2019 10:13 by hugepants If its a cheque job good luck. When Berkeley Technology liquidated about 10 years a ago they sent me a cheque in Canadian dollars. Lloyds told me it would take up to 6 weeks to clear. It actually took 4 weeks. However I held the shares in my own name then, if you hold AEY in a nominee account surely they just transfer the proceeds straight into your account? |
Posted at 16/8/2019 15:23 by fardels bear Here's hoping HL will put it into my sipp where the AEY shares were held. |
Posted at 10/8/2019 10:40 by thaaarg Barclays "Smart" Investor:webchat (couldn't face phoning...) gist is your shares in AEY are now held in a client nominee account (they couldn't be held in my smart investor isa as they 'didn't qualify') - he gave me an address to write to for an update. WRITE TO THEM! he wouldn't / couldn't give me any phone or email contacts! This is 2019 is said! So I have initiated a formal complaint. Clueless. |
Posted at 02/8/2019 18:37 by wonkachoc Quick Silver: I am in the U.S. and own ATGYF. Nothing yet... being told it's being held 24 to 48 hrs for investigational/rese |
Posted at 02/8/2019 13:04 by dougdig I guess in true AEY style we have to expect further delay - still nothing in my II account. :( |
Posted at 01/8/2019 16:13 by wonkachoc I'm a broker in the U.S. - Charles Schwab and Raymond James/Deutsche Banc are both reporting the dividend is showing on their side and has not yet hit client accounts. So it's there! Canaccord Genuity of Canada has not responded back to me yet. |
Posted at 01/8/2019 12:29 by thaaarg It will be interesting to see how Barclays deals with this - they've been hopeless so far.AEY was not eligible to be included in a Smart Investor ISA account on migration from Barclays Stockbrokers, so it is now ring fenced in a Barclays Stockbroker Client ISA account. I can't face phoning them up just yet as it will mean hours on hold...again... If anyone in a similar situation here should hear anything from Barclays, do please share! |
