CRA tax clearance was received mid march and the alberta tax authorities have a 4 month standard turnaround time. This suggests we should receive some further info around mid july.

It will be interesting to see what cash drain there has been to the trust company, the agent, and registrar fees. The trust company fees look to be around $60k.

Much will depend upon any costs related to the delays with the CRA, and what currency the cash is held in.

Hi,
The e mail address i rec`d the previous reply to (and sent the above to) is:

PABMINMAILG@cra-arc.gc.ca

If you think the "tone" was rather over the top, i thought, in the circumstances, i was rather RESTRAINED!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you want to post the email address you have, then I'll also email them. I'm a bit worried that the tone of your email might not get a response.

Thanks to everyone who have been beavering away at this over the years esp. enfranglais. Hopefully now on the final lap and I was wondering what the procedure will be when it passes the Alberta winning post. I guess as shareholders we might be contacted or at least our brokers but have little faith left that anything in the way of cash will appear in my bank acct. Any clues anyone?

I have tried emailing Anthony Potter today for update and will post any reply.
Any chance other shareholders can do likewise?
If I had the Alberta Tax Clearance authorities email and reference I would chase them too.
This really is a disgrace - time to rattle a few cages methinks!

enfranglais, do you have any idea about how to find out from the Alberta authorities what the timescale is for issuing a notice?

Shareholders will be very fortunate to receive money this year. Few hurdles to get through yet.

Well, over 2 years now & this is rivalling BREXIT as a tale of gross incompetence!!!
I would presume that the Alberta tax clearance should not take as long as the federal one, so still hoping for a payout before the end of 2019 - which might still mean about 30 months from voluntary liquidation & far longer than intimated by that idiot Potter!!!!!!!

Alberta tax clearance - a straightforward formality or another complex process before sign off?
