Head & Shoulders formation??? Confirmation line around 700p

Close under confirmation line (neckline) delivers a move 93% of the time (downward in this case), average decline from neckline is 23% which would take it conveniently down to 50% retrace (539p) of the upward trend that started in november.

tb3...just playing on the short side currently on wild moves with this volatile stock...I know what you mean...but as I am not able to be in front of the screen all the time...just happy to play it one sided as long as I am making some money...don't won't to be too greedy, as I am no expert or a full time trader...to me the risk reward was greater on the downside when it hit 800p last week...

was very tempted to take another short this morning at 778p for just a scalp...but held back due to other house duties...

thebull, that's just what I was puzzling over.Chart so predictable why try to short in an up-phase.

Diku, not rubbishing your approach at all - just curious and I like the way you post when you take a position rather than claim it after the event like many. Alaways good to compare trading styles.

diku, looks like 800p coming, might actually go long on this for a change, you clearly (like myself) tend to short this rather than go long or do you go long when you close your short too? i've never done that before, but clearly if i had, i would have done far better, the chart is almost perfect and predictable.

closed my short @709 will wait and see what happens next in the markets before opening again, normally it would continue to fall when i close my short, closed vedanta short this morning @1824, now 1777, another 50points, not greedy but it does annoy me sometimes, wouldnt fall yesterday and today, wallop
