17/6/2021 16:48 | Grahamburn I am definitely long and in the category of your third paragraph lol. It was just my musings, especially on the back of Julian focusing on communicating the monetary value of the (shorter-term) ongoing contribution from Kestrel … he might as well go the whole hog and tell us what the cobalt contribution will be this quarter … that way there’s no surprises and we all know roughly what the income is. If it’s near LLB’s predictions then I see a move to a sustained share price of over £1.60. Not sure whether doing so would increase or decrease volatility, I can see both sides of the argument. As I say all musings on a quiet day. I do think IMHO a number of the day traders these days include a lot of younger Millennials who will trade the pants off anything in a very hands-on gambling style (not criticising just an observation). GLA … Time to watch the Danes and Belgians play football.😎 | cocopah
17/6/2021 16:24 | A general risk off morning on the back of the FED commentary yesterday, so just buy the dips ... :o) XD coming up in a few weeks time then 3 more PDQ..., the share price has just bounced off the resistance line, and we will soon see where it heads off to next.. | laurence llewelyn binliner
17/6/2021 15:20 | Surely, Cocopah, dripfeeding minor "news" on a regular basis would potentially INCREASE rather REDUCE volatility and lead to more daytrading. Back in the younger past daytrading was interesting, fun and often lucrative, but investing for income as one increases in age should be a boring buy amd hold scenario. That way one can sit back, relax and look away from the screen more often than not. | grahamburn
17/6/2021 14:53 | The shares of royalty finance companies, such as APF, should not be volatile. If, nevertheless, they are, it is not because of fundamentals: it is a result of stock-market moods and fads. These fluctuations provide opportunities for investors to buy a stake cheaply, as indeed APF did last year by buying back its own shares. (If I recall correctly, it was at an average price of about 108p.) | meanreverter
17/6/2021 13:31 | Woodhawk i’m not saying it’s absolutely necessary or desirable (or more volatile) and of course for traders there is the opportunity to make (and lose!) money, however more information is usually a good thing and might help reflect the true value of APF. It’s also something that Julian has sort of half embraced through communicating the monetary contribution of Kestrel for the foreseeable. Moreover if the information is already out there (e.g. the LORIC divi) then it’s just good housekeeping. At the moment for Q2, we don’t know whether there are two or three cobalt deliveries and what their contribution is … as I say just my musings.😎 | cocopah
17/6/2021 13:07 | Cocopah, Why should that be in any way necessary or desirable? What's the problem with volatility? I wouldn't say that APF is significantly any more or less volatile than any other share I invest in. There is profit for some of us in volatility. | woodhawk
17/6/2021 12:53 | Just my musings, I wonder if the APF share price would be less volatile (I know it’s not very volatile) if there was a more regular stream of investor comms? They could probably use Twitter a bit more to communicate with investors (e.g. the LORIC dividend and the cobalt sales) …🤷R | cocopah
14/6/2021 19:39 | A 100p share price December 2020 now 150p in June 2021, and how close will we get to my estimated PE of 12 and 200p target for Xmas 2021...? With a 6% return on offer to buyers for the compressed 4 dividend payouts coming up starting with our XD 08.07.2021, as we get closer to seeing the impact of the VB stream adding to income.. If GS see Cobalt becoming more of a focus we have a tonne a day for sale.. :o) [edit] the next LIORC dividend will start off Q3 very nicely indeed payable Jul 26th 2021 and 1.750 CND/share / GBP 1M... | laurence llewelyn binliner
14/6/2021 17:33 | sporazene2, same as this one? | mo123
14/6/2021 14:33 | apologies is this has already been shared but I havent been keeping up to date with post on this forum. it certainly caught my attention and bodes well for a move back to 50K and beyond GLA | sporazene2
14/6/2021 10:31 | Exactly the point. The value of this cobalt stream is yet to reflect in the share price and the thought of holding some of the much needed assured supply is coal as the world steadily transitions is actually very appealing. Should make some good money here. Keep ramping ;-) | madengland_
11/6/2021 18:55 | #Woodhawk, yes, and that fact seems to be still lost on some buyers, where else can you get a 6% dividend income return on your money over 7 months.. It will soon be Q2/H1 and we can see the impact of VB added to income.. :o) | laurence llewelyn binliner
11/6/2021 17:55 | Two cobalt plays: Anglo Pacific June 2020- 135p Dec 2020- 100p June 2021- 150p 12months +10% Mkt cap ( £320m) Jervois Mining Limited June 2020- A$0.16 Dec 2020- A$0.36 June 2021- A$0.63 12months +300% Mkt cap A$510m ( £280m) ALL IMO. DYOR. QP | quepassa
11/6/2021 13:41 | A year's worth of dividends will become due over the next six months, ex-divis now scheduled for every two months - July, Sept, Nov and January. | woodhawk
11/6/2021 12:16 | Gradual and sustained shareprice rise of 50% since last November ! 😊 | masurenguy
11/6/2021 10:18 | Thanks for the feedback Cocopah. Read this about Moody's rating miners but it doesn't mention APF. Mo | mo123
11/6/2021 10:03 | Update at TRR most likely having a positive effect on the share price here today | gateside
09/6/2021 19:33 | #tommygriff, indeed, we used to hold 7.01% of LIORC, and sold c75%, so at the last count in the Q1 update we still held around 1.75% (1.1M shares).. But, those were pending liquidation if we needed the cash for the next royalty and we will find out more in the Q2 update on how far that has got.. | laurence llewelyn binliner
09/6/2021 18:58 | Did Anglo not sell a big chunk of the Labrador holding? | tommygriff
09/6/2021 17:53 | LIORC on a roll now, and our stake edging ever closer to CND50M..., plus the dividends.. :o) | laurence llewelyn binliner
09/6/2021 17:50 | Mo123 The rerating refers to the analysts that comment on APF stock (pretty sure they are Peel Hunt, Berenberg, BoA and RBC). All rate as ‘Buy’ at present and they will usually give a stock price goal. So a positive rerating would see this price go up and perhaps a move from buy to ‘Outperform I’m not sure why Julian keeps mentioning the 10% but perhaps he has been told that in order for APFs green credentials to be seen in a positive light this needs to happen. Interestingly in the presentation he did mention the possibility/likeliho That’s my take on it anyway. Others on this board with more experience and knowledge of APF might be able to offer more insights.👍 | cocopah
09/6/2021 07:47 | Good video - encouraging message. | norry2
09/6/2021 03:50 | Many thanks oshy92 - added to the header. | johnrxx99
08/6/2021 14:33 | Cheers for the link oshy92. Why is getting below 10% for coal so significant and who carries out the rerating? | mo123
08/6/2021 13:49 | Oshy92 ... thanks for sharing the link, extremely interesting and informative views from the panel.😎 | cocopah |
