Thank you for that link Piedro, seemed a well balanced article unlike many which are really advocates for one chemistry or another. I thought Cobalt was a difficult choice when APF went for it. Also wondered why such a new stream was being sold on? But that's life. You're damned if you do and damned if you don't? Cobalt has a lot of uses in magnetics as well as aerospace and materials technology for its hardness and corrosion resistance which in my mind unpins the price. As supply, particularly taking into account ESG concerns, is restricted cobalt could not supply the whole of the potential battery market, so market share with other chemistries is necessary. LFP and Lithium-Cobalt have different characteristics. LFP is known for its longer cycle life, perceived higher safety and lack of cobalt - which may lead to a much lower price as production grows. NMC (Nickel-Manganese-Cobalt) and NCA (Nickel-Cobalt-Aluminium) Lithium chemistries have higher energy density, in some cases a lot more, and lower self-discharge are both safer than the older original Lithium Cobalt Oxide cells to which LFP are often erroneously compared. All of these families of cell chemistries are evolving and NMC has already evolved to significantly reduce cobalt content whilst including Nickel and Manganese as well as improving peformance and safety. I think the Tesla move in China was forced by the highprice and lack of availability of NMC cell based packs coupled with the large LFP factory next door keen to scale up production. Cost was likely the main consideration, given that range and weight trade off against cost, performance, perception of safety and self-discharge rate. That seems understandable to me? In view of this it seems likely that LFP will grow significantly in the smaller and high production/ lower cost EV market. NMC and derivatives will likely continue to dominate in the premium EV and aerospace markets as well as personal devices where weight also has a cost. According to the figures in the mining article it seems quite likely that absolute demand for Cobalt will continue to increase - though relative levels of cobalt, nickel, magnesium and even lithium will fall if we all choose to buy smaller EV's. Maybe not if we all buy SUV EV's? But then that's not going to be good for the planet, cobalt or no cobalt? In return here is an article on the electronic management of Lithium cells and how in the near future this might move to be more independant of cell chemistry. hTTps://www.energy-storage.news/news/lfp-vs-nmc-not-a-silver-bullet-solution-for-safety I doubt that the Voisey Bay acquistion will prove to be a huge profit maker in the short term, but that's not the plan? It will provide cashflow as the cash from Kestrel declines and likely at or above APF's baseline given that demand for Cobalt is not likely to fall in the short or medium term? But then again there is potential upside there? And more upside perhaps from the Copper, Vanadium and particularly the Nickel..... cheers

Piedro : Perhaps the 99,334,936 number counts the forms submitted by voters, weighted by their shareholding, and on some items a few voters did not select any option (for, against, or withheld).

a PURE cobalt play. Jervois Mining Limited. Ticker: ASX:JRV hXXps://jervoismining.com.au/ Excellent management team with outstanding industry experience and backgrounds. Share price:- Jun 2020 A$0.16 May 2021 A$0.53 x 330% in 12 months. And climbing. Jervois Mining's USA cobalt operations are compelling at a time when the USA is fast transitioning to EV's and green energy solutions combined with increasingly repatriating/on-shoring manufacturing. ALL IMO. DYOR. QP

Thanks for your thoughts johnrxx99, I think between your analysis and my Heath Robinson approach we aren’t far apart. The fundamentals look good here and I can’t see anything stopping another commodities supercycle. As to whether I top-up, I guess it depends on whether the price slips towards 1.30 but I think I’m into holding now. Decent divi too.👍ㇿ5;

Hi, Cocopah, I look at RSI and MACD to judge buy and sell allied with news etc. At the recent high, the RSI showed a clear sell/top slice while MACD was still OK. Currently RSI is in the middle of it's range (a long way to a clear buy) and MACD crossed at 148p and is trending down. For interest, MACD crossed going upwards at 132p. These are just indicators but have done me well over the years. Good or bad news of course overrides everything. I'm not a trader so just watch and wait.

LLB, I’m not a chartist, so please forgive my ignorance, however it looks as if we have had a false double top that is unless 1.39 or possibly 131.2 is broken? If either of these events happen then we could be in for a further retrenchment (if so I certainly will be adding). However with the dividend due soon and being so significant is a chart of any use? Thoughts ...

The chart looks much better here now after the breakout to 150p/160p, the pull back was going to happen and here we are ready for the next leg up.. Only 5 weeks and a few days left of Q2/H1 ahead of the next update due late July, and our XD date coming up on 08.07.2021 for the 3.75p dividend.. :o)

Little or no news recently about the investments in: 1.Groundhog - Anthracite coal 2.Salamanca - Uranium mine (still pending government approval to commence operations) 3.FlowStream - Oil 4.Incoa - Calcium Carbonate Dominican Republic/USA (is $20m Financing still on track for 2021) Maybe they could also update the market on status of Groundhog, Salamanca, FlowStream and Incoa. LLB - in addition to the increased value inherent in the residual LIORC holding we can look forward to increasing income from the copper and vanadium holdings and that is before we see the first royalties from the Voisey Bay cobalt acquisition, which will commence streaming in the in the current quarter. "Copper has been a standout performer in the year to date, with strong supply demand fundamentals set to underpin prices in the near to medium term. We have also seen gains in the vanadium price which, along with a higher portion of vanadium sales to the battery market, should result in increased revenue from our Maracás Menchen royalty. We are pleased to report the receipt of the first deliveries of cobalt from our recent acquisition and smooth integration of the stream into our existing business. We look forward to updating the market in due course as the stream begins to contribute to the Group's revenues from Q2 2021." Julian Treger, 6 May 2021.

Our LIORC position is worth CND45M now, not a bad problem to have when it comes to funding the next royalty, or 2 if we need to liquidate it.. :o)

I would agree LLB/Cocopah and part of the pullback over the past few days is likely to have been from profit takers cashing in on the 25% premium over February's placing price. Chance for some to top up before it bounces again over the summer.

The share price is on the slide again after a few brief days in the sunshine. Down 10% from 160p to 146p in just a few sessions. Not looking strong. APF's coal interests will continue to weigh heavily with institutional investors on ESG-compliance concerns as COP26 fast approaches later this year - just six months away. ALL IMO. DYOR. QP

#Cocopops, a support level is tough to call after a +20% breakout, but as I commented yesterday it had room to come back a little more, best guess around 145p but with the Q2/H1 update due in July, and our XD date coming up on 08.07.2021 for a 3.75p dividend I would expect to see buyers coming back soon, we know VB will be adding this quarter and will start to increase portfolio contributions from there.. :o)

LLB - perhaps my £1.60 by the year-end won’t be too far off-target?! 😂😜 I guess in reality the divi and Q2 numbers will move the dial towards £1.70-£1.80.News on another royalty stream would help though.🤷R05;♂️👍🏻 8526;
