Sounds similar market manipulation to post 2898 on DRX thread.

Actually I've just been in Sumatra for 2 months and didn't , but was tempted to turn up at the barrier at an Anglo plantation and say "I'm a shareholder, can you show me around". Wonder what their reaction would have been

hvs, I did add HILS to my watch list last year thinking about Obama spending on infrastructure in US. Was waiting for UK cuts too to see effects. I think the likes of BBY and HILS are good long term bets but happy to wait for an entry on better chart signal in that sector.

Hvs, hold mostly in commodities sectors, some tech, and dabble in warrants. Some of the other important holdings include wcc, gkp, gcl, afr, iqe, mml, agq, aaz, aym, wti, car, on tsx have gpr, fr, fvi.

Yes I do but I maintain a weighting in my portfolio and since other holdings have done rather well this year, I look to top up AEP to maintain its long term weighting. Today was one of those screaming buy days AEP gives u few times a year, but the crooks wouldn't let me.

It happens in some illiquid stocks, called market manipulation LOL. The spreadbet companies telegraph the stops via small trades... notice the small trades of 60s, 50s, 40s and 30s ? They tell the MMs where to drop to take out stops. Notice they didnt really drop the buy price ? I guarantee u will not be able to buy in any volume on such occasions.. Happens quite a lot with MM stocks on quiet mornings, lunchbreaks and late afternoons, most famously with Rockhopper. I have managed to top up a few hundred in such times with AEP but very hard as the offer isnt really available in any volume. The fact the offer price hasn't really moved today clearly means there is underlying demand for this stock. Accept it..learn how some stocks behave and use it to your advantage, and never ever spreadbet on MM stocks with tight stops ;) AEP has 3 or 4 such occasions a year on average. But what can you do.. market is rigged so learn their tricks and use it to your advantage.

Looking at the recent share price dip, it appears someone's not happy with the IMS. Some peoples expectations are unreasonable.

We seem to be holding firm at this level. Agree regarding FY results. While CPO price pulled back of late, the final quarter should show an improvement given the price.

An impressive IMS given the challenges of the weather - it'll be interesting to see what happens on prices, although I'd be surprised if they remained quite so high.

Agree Marknicho but as poor crops mean higher prices it is difficult to read too much into the production decline from a market perpective.

Hopefully price will stay around these levels till we get full year results.

New Planting going and weather better so next year should be an improvement.

Net Cash has increased and set to increase further.

So still a solid investment.

Finally the IMS is out. FFB production declined slightly due to weather but thanks to CPO price things are in line and CPO is much higher than the average for the quarter to the end of Sept. Indonesia are taxing the CPO price as well now. Not a particularly glowing statement so not sure how the price will react this morning.
