18/4/2024 09:26 | As for longer term investing in AIM stocks,,, after a number of years at this I have concluded that it's not a place I want to be,,, yes, for a short to medium term trade,,, but generally speaking, trying to find that needle in a haystack penny stock that goes on to do great things over 10 years or so has proven too difficult for me... I am currently down to holding just 2 AIM stocks,,, AAZ & MAC.... MAC will be culled at some point, leaving just AAZ which I'm viewing as a Ltd private company,,, but, listed on a public market.... so we'll see how AAZ develops over the coming years and I'm prepared to hold it long term, collect dividends etc etc.. as for other, so called AIM opportunities, I have had the FOMO well and truly kicked out of me,, I no longer see posts and think,, humm, they're on to something there, let's take a look, a position,,, I now, generally think,,, is there a short term punt there, not is there a LT investment... and mostly I simply let it go..... fingers crossed AAZ comes good :-) Cheers Wan :-) | wanobi
18/4/2024 09:25 | Does anyone look at the dam on Google earth? | robo63
18/4/2024 09:25 | 2cmb it was a genuine question. I know nothing about TDs and I assume it does rain in Azer. from time to time. | katsy
18/4/2024 09:14 | I'm off out soon too cmb,,, not being negative per se,,, just exploring the downsides to the situation I'd say,,, which is no bad thing as we should always have our eyes open to the risks with any investment... for me, not a lot has changed after the recent rns,, we still need the TD wall raise permission, we need it soon and that is not in our control,,, so we are still at the mercy of AZERGOV & its President... that said,,, management has done a brilliant job of getting us through this recent period on uncertainty and hopefully when they say,,, "Production was significantly reduced during the Quarter due to operations remaining partially shut down as the Company awaits permission to raise its tailings dam wall, which it expects to receive shortly." they have been informed by AZERGOV &/or the President that there will not be a problem, but, due procedure/process must be followed and that will take a little bit more time.... and not just,,, it's gotta come soon hasn't it,,, well, let's just say it will to the market for now.... as you say cmb,,, one has to trust the management, which I/we am/are doing,,, but, it's hard for people to do that with AIM companies,,, as mostly their management teams and CEO's say whatever they think the market wants to hear until boom, a big negative comes to light etc etc... so, I get why people are nervous and always looking for the negative which will cause the boom moment,,, be foolish not to in my humble opinion :-) :-) as for myself, I believe AAZ management are about the best you can get in an AIM company and I am backing them and their relations with AZERGOV/Pres and most importantly I am trusting what they say to me,,,,, whilst trying to look at the situation without wearing any rose tinted specs, so I'm not surprised should the identifiable happen!!!! fingers crossed, smile on face,, management will get the TD permission soon and the share price will,,,, no doubt rise 10-20p on that news alone... :-) :-) Cheers Wan :-) | wanobi
18/4/2024 09:09 | Bet the crew are loving using that CAT machinery .. big step up from what they have had in the past | mattjos
18/4/2024 09:08 | gold and copper continue to soar surely this starts heading higher | stockhunters
18/4/2024 08:51 | 2cmg, I am confident the CAT equipment will have been working deep in to the Gilar tunnel from the delivery time. We remain a bargain buy here. | terropol
18/4/2024 08:48 | Thanks CMB, that all makes sense to me and presumably they already have this in their budget and forecast, when agreeing borrowing. | digger18
18/4/2024 08:45 | LOL Digger,Katsy and Wan' why are you guys all thinking so negative??? TD overflowing !! No it's not the rainy season in Azerbaijan it is the spring time there. Even here today it is a beautiful sunny morning !! The sun is shining and birds are singing in my garden. Mining Companies are always aware of the weather and they never allow the TDs to get close to getting filled to th brim !! The TD is not going to cost a fortune !! There are no big fences for AAZ to jump over. This not a horse race !! Even poor RB has had a bad evening !! I am going for a walk in my gaden to listen to the bird songs. Too much negative energy here !! LOL :-) :-) ATB guys. | 2cmb
18/4/2024 08:24 | Wan' the cup and a small handle has already formed on the chart. Matt has put a chart on the main thread. By looking at Matt's chart I think we won't have to waite long before the shareprice gets a kick in the right direction. Everything seems to be lining up. Let's hope lady luck plays it's role. Be positive and don't think about various fences to be jumped over by AAZ. The Azari's know the capabilities of our great BoD. Money' I mean big money is involved here. Are they going to throw spanners in the works just because some peasant agitators caused trouble ? A storm in a tea cup, that is all that has happened. It is life old chap, this is how the world operates. :-) :-). | 2cmb

18/4/2024 08:12 | Wow Rb,, your day was even more complicated than mine!!! | wanobi
18/4/2024 08:04 | Good morning all. Digger they only want to raise the TD by 2.5 Meters at this moment in time. The contractors would have already agreed the price of materials and labour. It would not cost an arm or a leg. Probably use granite blocks and cement. Labour and materials will be cheap enough IMO. The new TD would proably use a liner made of some durable material so no leakage into the the ground of any toxic stuff. I am no mining Engineer so perhaps you can Google the particular kind of TD the Co. plans to build in the future. A bit of leg work involved there. The 2.5 Meter raise will last for around a year. They want to raise it by another 5.5 Meters at a later date. I think they may reach a compromise with the government to build a new one somewhere else and start building it this year during the summer months. If AAZ gets permission for the 2.5 Meter raise everything will be fine. AIMHO ofcourse. | 2cmb
18/4/2024 07:44 | Good morning all, Cheers Wan :-) | wanobi
18/4/2024 07:30 | Without trawling through previous RNS’s can anyone confirm or has any idea as to what the cost of the TD raise will be? Obviously not a big issue compared to the permission, but clearly some serious capex in a time of increasing debt. | digger18
18/4/2024 07:05 | wanobi17 Apr '24 - 21:10 - 64767 of 64769 Current TD raise should give us about 3 years mining before we need another, hopefully enough time to get the new one sorted. | robo63
18/4/2024 01:12 | RB agree on the panic / short-termism selling. The seller can't be a regular on these boards, as we know AAZ always bounces back from bad news. There were always going to be buyers on the dip. Overall a fantastic day. Quick one on Bed & ISA requests. I put mine in with ii on 8th April. Not yet executed. Anyone else having the same delay with them? Last few years they've taken 2-3 days. Time's not so important with AAZ not paying dividends. There's no tax to save at the moment! | bozzy_s
17/4/2024 23:58 | Wan, likewise late look in from me, you encourage a varied board, so it should get more attention when markets improve. Speaking of fences to jump, my night time challenge was to try and sort an hysterical 20 year old out, stuck in Kuala Lumpar, transiting to Dubai via wherever. Cousin has a useless ex, so lent on me. First tried Emirates airline, constantly engaged, chat function equally tied up, then local High Commission for accommodation help again useless, airport already given her the brush off. So engaged brain and tried skyscanner, only business class available with Qatar airlines but hey gets a flight later in the day, with one brief transit stop. What a farce though, if she’d been stuck in Dubai I’d friends who could’ve helped her but kids panic and all of a sudden travelling solo wasn’t as much fun and sometimes you don’t get much help in this world; least she can get home now. Bet there’s a few more traveller tales out there with Dubai down, think it’s the 2nd biggest transit out there for passengers. | riggerbeautz
17/4/2024 21:10 | just got back having been out for a couple of hours, which turned into more like 9 hours,,, such is life sometimes :-) :-),,, thanx for the posts today all,,, thread has come to life again :-) :-)... as for AAZ,, as always, not counting my chickens cmb,,, it's just the way I am LOL LOL :-) :-) fingers crossed we'll get the TD permission before we have any financial issues and then we'll get on with a new TD soon after,,, still a few fences to jump yet in this race :-),, GLA LTH's Cheers Wan :-) | wanobi
17/4/2024 17:56 | KS thank you for the analysis on ALTN I did hold it some time ago and got out around 145P or there about. There is always the liquidity problem there. I have built a very good holding in AAZ now and very happy with that. It would have been difficult doing that with ALTN. I am sure it will come good for you. You have been missing for sometime. I hope all is well with you. ATB. | 2cmb
17/4/2024 17:44 | Many thanks for the chart Matt. Any TD news will light a fire under the shareprice. Yes the handle has formed now on the chart. I don't think we have long to waite either. My congratulations to the BoD and all the workers at AAZ site. I bet they have started to use the new Cat equipment now. ATB. | 2cmb
17/4/2024 17:35 | Its starting to look like we have both a short-term Cup & Handle that is nearly fully formed (& was halted at the 30% decline level which is a target decline for the Handle and a strong textbook guideline and also one which "fingers" was always keen to see enacted - for those of you familiar his work). This one is nearly formed now and is also painting the outline a larger Cup & Handle which started end November. What i term 'nested' Cup & Handles .. one smaller one nested within a larger one. Anyway, one step at a time | mattjos |
