Anglo Asian Mining – Q1 update, expects to receive a transformative permit “shortly”;

Anglo Asian Mining (AAZ) has issued a first quarter of the year update including commencing that gold production from heap leaching and copper production from sulphidisation, acidification, recycling and thickening (SART) continued throughout the quarter, but that “production was significantly reduced during the quarter due to operations remaining partially shut down as the company awaits permission to raise its tailings dam wall, which it expects to receive shortly”.

Is there still significant recovery potential from an unchanged 63.5p share price? We suggest so.

I've had a substantial holding in block energy for a long while now, average 1.1p had chance on a few occasions to sell and make a decent profit but didn't then it fell back down to earth, but Haywood been quiet of late with a farm in partner still not materialised but looking at the price momentum could be close, chart looks good leaving no gaps as it heads north.

China seem to be cosying up to Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze //



Chinese firm could be a partner, some are saying with the licenses block own and with no drill activity been renewed as promised could be a low ball offer for block but who knows , but something certainly brewing.

Good to see the recovery here, this always looked like a decent story.

Peace in the region is an added bonus of course.

I saw them present in a London conference a coupke of years ago, and was imoressed, one of the few London listed miners worth investing in in my view.

Russia is playing a “pivotal” role in ensuring security in the Caucasus region, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has claimed. He made the remarks during meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow on Monday.  

His visit to the Russian capital coincided with a major development in the Southern Caucasus region. Last week, Moscow announced the withdrawal of its peacekeeping force from the Azerbaijani region of Karabakh. Aliyev told Putin that Baku was “happy with the progress in [the] resolution” of outstanding security issues in the region.

Rb, thanks - and yes I agree there could be a trade coming with PXC with all the heightened noise currently. But MJ, as for them having a “prospect̶1; there in Idaho I just don’t see it - it’s a clapped out mine, marginal resource (being generous) and a dozen operators have walked away from it over the last 50 years. Even if there was something there, I hugely doubt the calibre of the management team to do anything about it, Edwards-Jones is a moron, Wilkins - well I have many words to describe him, none of which are complimentary in any way. The CEO admittedly I don’t know. A decade and a half ago I was warned off ANYTHING that Wilkins was involved in by someone who knows the game inside out - over that decade and a half it’s proven to be extremely sage advice. Leopards, spots and terrible track records…
