Good post on why the market is asleep with Afentra (AET)

Mount Teide2 Apr '24 - 15:20 - 56 of 56

block 3/05 - at 23,500 bopd gross production, Afentra's current 18% shareholding would generate 3.5 lifts a year of 450,000 bbls - one every 15 weeks.

After closure of the Azule deal, Afentra's 30% shareholding would generate 5.7 lifts a year of 450,000 bbls - one every 9 weeks - $217m of annual revenue at an average of $85 Brent!

Post closure of the Azule deal, Afentra would have a market cap value LESS than HALF annual sales at $85 Brent.

oh to actually be a productive Gold miner in a time of daily new record Gold prices.
Won't be long before Copper also starts printing new highs.
Az holidays over now ... someone needs to bang some heads together over there now.
This situaiotn has gone on well long enough.
If we are ever to get going at Demirli & create some jobs in that part of Az and therefore give the govt. some good news to trumpet, we need a productive base at Gedabek with which to generate the necessary cash flow.

Govt Ministers & Bureaucrats - too slow to catch a cold, the lot of them!

Very different suggestion but my competition pick this year and last was/is GDP. It's a fairly small scale gold recovery company, which has historically been very profitable but lost money on the Kilimapesa mine, which it then sold on.

The recovery business is profitable in its own right but had issues with the South African energy situation and its licensing in Ghana. The energy situation will continue to be a problem but they have sourced diesel generators to resolve the blackouts (but delays with supply caused more issues). Despite all the issues the business is profitable but also lowly valued.

The potential game changer is a deal (awaiting details) with DRD gold for a project to recover over 80K from its TSF. For an already profitable company valued at just £12m the additional revenues from that would surely propel it far higher.

Share price has picked up over the last week, perhaps in expectation of news of the DRD deal in advance of the investor presentation that they are doing next Monday. In my view another with minimal downside but bagger potential.

Anyone looking for a low risk/high reward play should look at CHRY. It is a concentrated investment trust with about 12 positions in private companies. But it is sitting on a 40% discount to an NAV that is itself incredibly conservative, and because the public markets were so poor in 22/23 its portfolio is much more mature than you would otherwise expect.
Its big holdings are Starling Bank, Klarna, Wefox, Brandtech etc which all have a large AI aspect and are growing very strongly. Some of the valuations being applied to competitors suggest there is huge potential upside (e.g. Starling is valued at about a third the value of Monzo, despite being better on almost every metric). The fees are very low after a clustercuss a couple of years ago and no performance fee is payable until it surpasses the old high which is over 3 times the current share price They have also said that as soon as they realise an asset (and one, Graphcore, has been finalising a sale for some time) they will use the cash to fund a major buy back. In short, I think it can at least double in the next six months but don't see much downside risk.

Cheers Bumpa. Ref your post 64261, no majors sniffing around OMI has been communicated via RNS, but hopefully they are lining up a JV while the final details of reacquiring 100% of Anza are ironed out. The project should look very attractive to a medium size miner I would have thought.

Re MBO, it still seems dodgy to me. The shareholders of TETE need to vote for their x of 6million outstanding shares to be reduced to x of 116 million shares (and x of 30 million shares initially) and if the "business combination" does not happen there is a winding up of the company and dispersal of the remaining funds.

Morning Pogue, seems to me that there’s people with twisted agenda’s everywhere. It was an eye opener visiting Hungary and hearing different views, boy they really are 1984 suspicious! One of our guides would only talk about Orban and his regime out in the countryside, for fear of being listened in on! Then nip across to Slovakia and in particular Austria, they’re everything some Hungarians want to become, but Vienna with all its impressive architecture, seems a show city. Too many yanks too lol

Further update on Proposed Joint Venture with Super Apps

MobilityOne (AIM: MBO), the e-commerce infrastructure payment solutions and platform provider, notes that a preliminary proxy statement/prospectus has been filed by Tete Technologies Inc, a wholly owned subsidiary of Technology & Telecommunication Acquisition Corporation ("TETE"), on 28 March 2024 (the "TETE Proxy Filing") which is available for viewing on the United States Securities and Exchange Commission's website ("SEC").

The TETE Proxy Filing has been filed in draft with the SEC. The purpose of the TETE Proxy Filing is to provide TETE shareholders with information on the proposals ahead of seeking approval from TETE shareholders for the Merger Exercise itself. An extraordinary general meeting will be convened in due course for this purpose by TETE once the TETE Proxy Filing is in complete form and approved by the SEC.

As announced by the Company on 1 March 2024, the payment of the consideration to MobilityOne Sdn Bhd ("M1 Malaysia"), the Group's wholly-owned operating subsidiary in Malaysia, in relation to the terms of the Share Sale Agreement between M1 Malaysia and Super Apps Holdings Sdn Bhd ("Super Apps") concerning the disposal by M1 Malaysia of a 60% shareholding in the Group's wholly-owned non-core subsidiary OneShop Retail Sdn Bhd ("1Shop") to Super Apps (the "Disposal") is subject to the completion of the Merger Exercise and such consideration payments will be dependent on the timings for completion of the Merger Exercise.

RB
its becoming a thing in the US among some lying liberals to claim they are a different colour, was reading some stories at the weekend. I was pushing a thought that many in some extreme left wing organizations if given the legal right to be a different colour may choose it. The administration in the US, and other countries, currently seems to be able to change any natural law hence the thought experiment.
