When is Novruz?

This is an ancient holiday, which can be traced back 5,000 years to the Sumerians and the Babylonians civilisations. The first records of Novruz as a spring holiday date back to 505 BC.

Novruz begins on either 20th March or 21st March, on the spring equinox, when the days and nights are equal lengths, with days then becoming longer which signifies the arrival of warmer weather.

Novruz (Novruz Bayrami) is the most important holiday in Azerbaijan. It celebrates the Persian New Year, and the beginning of Spring. Novruz means 'New Day'.

In accordance with Article 105 of the Labour Code of Azerbaijan passed in 2006, workers receive five days off for Novruz, though Novruz may be extended depending on what day of the week it begins.

Unseen External forces may have an effect! However, they would have meet the Event horizon before catastrophy.Unfortunately there seems to be too many external forces and not much confidence in the general order of things. A difficult market to say the least and Aaz definitely fending off external forces.

Contrary to what you may have seen in movies, black holes don't actually “suck” things in. For example, there are actually stars orbiting the supermassive black hole at the center of our galaxy, and they'll keep orbiting without falling in unless something else disturbs them.

I’ve taken some money off the table today. The trader in me recognises weakness. I’m not bothered about missing rises. I’m more interested in not holding drops. There is always other opportunities tomorrow the next day etc.
Going to stop trading for a week or so and see where we are then.

Was it 3 months work to raise the dam wall from the start of works, and then we can simultaneously start the flotation plant back up again to use the existing headroom we have left in it..?

We need to get going ASAP, the initial reason was frozen ground so it would not matter in Jan to March, now we are heading into April next week..

bossy_s, we have no idea why the company is being punished for something it didn't do.

We do know they are very efficient at mining, and as it turns out very very good/careful at preventing pollution.

It's almost the end of March. This is no way at all to encourage inward investment into Azerbaijan.

25.03.2024 A meeting of the delegations of Azerbaijan and Great Britain was held within the framework of the meeting of the Standing Committee on Sustainable Development at the 148th Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union in Geneva.

Bizim.Media informs that various aspects of cooperation were discussed at the meeting attended by MPs Soltan Mammadov and Sevil Mikayilova.

The members of the Azerbaijani delegation gave information about the measures implemented by our country in connection with the preparation for the COP29 session. Within the framework of the cooperation of the Milli Majlis with the Inter-Parliamentary Union, opinions were exchanged on the discussions planned to be organized at the COP29 event. The need to encourage the active participation of parliaments in the fight against global climate change was noted. The importance of mutual visits for discussing future directions of cooperation within the framework of the Inter-Parliamentary Union was emphasized.

Members of the Parliament of Azerbaijan gave detailed information on the current situation in the South Caucasus, steps taken towards the normalization of relations with Armenia, and the peace agenda proposed by our country. Deputies of the Milli Majlis answered the questions of their British colleagues regarding regional security, the prospects of signing a peace treaty with Armenia, as well as the development of Azerbaijan-Great Britain relations.

In the meeting, it was noted that the deepening of cooperation between the parliaments of the two countries has an important role in the development of bilateral relations.
