Yes I could not buy the amount of shares I have without paying over the odds and selling would do similar the opposite way so coming in and out is not possible. I didn’t start out to do that but I like the story so kept adding little bits plus I now have large profits. My exit will be on sale of the company at some point or if I see the company as overvalued in which case I will start selling down slowly, I probably won’t be alone though at that point.

You are repeating old words from a former CEO you were worried about spin offs that have long since disappeared you are living in the past the instis buying today see the company for what it is and will be. Upside is all there is as it still undervalued and growing plus it’s a service company no risky expensive drug development, no drilling holes looking for metals or oil, no cutting edge tech looking for funding and a market and definitely no dodgy jurisdictions.
To me it’s a good place to go large.
All in my view, DYOR etc

Interesting comment Pogue, that your holding of HVO is a bit big to get in and out easily, I’ve no real view or gripe with the company, just would say similar along with others over AAZ. Size of position does matter and I guess you’re saying you can’t build that position easily overnight.

It's not being sold, the 100p party tickets have been ripped up and the doors definitely haven't been blown off. The Beep Beeps have disappeared and now the man who was topping up at 27p is selling half his holding at 28p to help the company, IIs and shareholders out. I'm speechless. Good luck.

The company CF set up is doing exactly as he said it it would, world leader in challenge studies. The only bits not happening is the spin offs. Only one was spun off another got pulled last min due to the SPAC collapsing it was due to reverse into and DiM is being mined by POLB but this was all known ling time ago. HVO is doing exactly what it was going to do.

Just speaking the truth. HVOs share price is back where it was 2.5 years ago. Far better opportunities out there. Im not saying HVO isn't a good company but it's going to be a slow burner. I feel sorry for the people who bought in the 30s 3 years ago and are still underwater thanks to the CEO making up stories, promising the world, and not delivering. I'm lucky I've made decent money with HVO, but most of us were invested for the sale, which looks unlikely short term. DIM and imutex are obviously not happening, or Cathal wouldn't have sold half his position.

you are forgetting CF promised the world . I was sucked in by his blarney. I am sure some investors will be pleased he is selling out.

Wow that's a load off your mind!
Not sure what DiM and immutex have to do with it they are not happening but the rest seems personal on CF. HVO is now run by the very conservative under promise over achieve Mo. CF is in the background which is not where he likes to be hence me saying he needs the cash for his next investment.
As for trading that's fine but my holding is a bit big to get in and out off easily but I can trade other more risky companies.

You dont know what his plans are until you do its not strange its his view of what he wants to do with the money in his Raglan investment vehicles. He is not really involved anymore Mo runs the company and as he has said himself he has a short attention span so as I suggested earlier his green metals company may have started movign and needs capital. Plenty of possible scenarios the one I know its not is that HVO are in trouble as the fundamentals have not changed, it is a growing, well funded, service company with a large order book. Dont know why you sold to me its the safest company on AIM

Malcy's rns views today,,

PTAL - "The PetroTal dividend has appeared, regular as clockwork and so the equity yields some 15% which is very appealing especially as the recent reserves report shows that both 1P and 2P reserves continue to increase and make the shares trade at a significant discount to assets.

With one of the best managements in the sector and potential for both income and capital growth over a long period of time this is the ultimate share to cornerstone any portfolio."

JSE - "Nothing to add to the already announced CWLH fields deal, it’s good stuff and typical Jadestone work, with Akatara imminent and Woodside assets beckoning there is plenty of upside, that is when we know the details of the deal…"

FWIW

Cheers

Strange why HVOs messiah Cathal Friel, the multi millionaire and largest share holder of would cut half his position at 28p. Bizarre. Makes sense why the share price couldn't break 30p. His stockbroker mates must have had the tip off.

nice one jeanesy,,, I am tempted for more AAZ today,,,, yeah, I know, mad init!!!!

however, it might just drift down further now until we hear about the TD situation,,, so I'm holding off for now...

I see some larger sells todays,, can't really blame people,,, tis all a little nerve-racking holding at the moment & the footage of that Turkish heap leach pad collapse of yesterday really does drive home how things can go badly wrong with any investment!!!

I'm almost,, kinda relieved that all the troubles we've experienced with the protestors has made/forced AAZ check & independently double check our situation,,, helps to know we're in very good shape in that respect :-) :-)

Cheers

The spin offs disappeared long ago anyone holding for that hasn't been keeping up. As for not getting taken over soon that to me is a positive HVO only going to get more valuable markets leader by a country mile in a growing sector I don't want someone taking this out for a couple of years yet. That is why it's a long term hold for me.

He isn't short on cash. He is worth millions. Massive kick it the nuts for the LTHs. The company isn't getting sold anytime soon otherwise he wouldn't sell at .28. The carrots (spin outs) have also disappeared. Very disappointing.

Bit of a shock at HVO must admit. Can only assume Cathal Friel wants the cash for his new venture in green metals. Doesn't change the fundamentals of the company but it's going to put the brakes on this rise for a few months.
Long term hold for me so nothing changes but still annoying.
