The hammer candlestick is a bullish trading pattern that may indicate that a stock has reached its bottom and is positioned for trend reversal.....

I suppose at the end of the day Rb, if enough people believe in and work with GAP's,, then, they are the very people that cause them to close and be bought up soon after,,,,, with, I guess, the MM's causing them to open in the first place!!

I mean, it's bonkers that GAP's tend to close, but, statistically I believe I read somewhere along this journey that 80-90% of them do!!! So, to me, they are worth noting and watching and the very least :-)

that said, it could also be, that shares that go up, do, eventually come back down,, especially in the case of AIM,,, Mj has highlighted a few over the years where the GAP has literally taken several years to get filled,,, whilst in the meantime risen to great highs, only to fall back down again,,, often to the very original breakaway news GAP-up which started the sustained,, but, ultimately doomed rise in the first place...:-) :-)

Cheers
Wan :-)

Wan can’t remember if you sold out fully of EEE, I’m still getting splinters and not yet tempted but it’s enticing if you ignore the falling knife a little.

that's fine jeanesy,, I'm more than ok with what I have tbh,,, but, will/would take really cheap ones if they are offered up due to scaremongering etc.. Cheers Wan :-)

edit,,, right now tbh, I'd rather see AAZ back above 120p on TD news than adding a few more tranches down here :-) :-)

It's all about money, the Swiss refiner that stopped buy Anglo's gold could have very well been connected to Swiss Citizen Vartan Sermakes, he clearly has an agendahttps://anca.org/baku-places-armenian-ceo-on-interpol-wanted-list-for-visiting-karabakh/

TBH the chances are it's a compliance issue Reza and Sununu are both going to be classified as PEPs (politically exposed persons) and so will need to provide tons of paperwork which they may not have wanted to do. Can't imagine that it is too difficult to find refiners tbh. AAZ could always use whoever Azergold use.

Certainly it would have been helpful if the company had let us know about the Swiss company stopping gold purchases, so we don't just hear one side of the story when it eventually comes out.

While i agree one ought not to panic over such media releases, articles such as the France-24 one posted up by Matt and again by Steve, will ratchet up risk perceptions, even amongst seasoned, level headed investors.

While we know there are hugely biased [Enviro-'activist'] and even malign [Anarchist, Armenian, Base Metals....] elements stirring the pot, it really does not help when a supposedly independent/objective press agent such as France-24 coughs up such diatribes finding fresh angles of 'attack'.

For example, this is a new one on me:
"According to Anglo Asian Mining's 2022 annual report, two Swiss refineries buy from the company. The first, Argor-Heraeus, told us it had terminated its relationship with Anglo Asian: "As part of our Know Your Customer update process started in 2022, Anglo Asian Mining did not provide all the required information" explains the refinery, which states that it "blocked the company in May 2023", before the crackdown on protests."

Well, if this is at least basically true, i think there is a concern here, in that AAZ is vulnerable to further 'boycotts' by gold refineries and most especially the other, current Swiss one it sells to.

Don't wish to make too much of it; just reminding that the risk discount here jacked up a lot since July 2023 and will take a lot of care and time to assuage down.

Katsy, Just politics before the election and France siding with Armenia.

AAZ operates all by the book and more.

All this media frenzy should or will be made to stop after the elections, That is my guess any way.
