11/2/2024 20:30:22 | Don't know about the TA side of things, but I'm getting more and more confident that BTC is on a long term mega upwards trajectory.
It's all down to the Halving events. Of which the next one is expected in April this year.
For the uninitiated, Bitcoin halving is an event programmed into the Bitcoin protocol that occurs approximately every four years. the reward that miners receive for validating transactions on the Bitcoin network is halved. This effectively reduces the rate at which new bitcoins are created.
The purpose of the halving is to control the supply of Bitcoin and ensure its scarcity over time. In this respect it mimics minerals like gold, copper etc where the rate of discovery tends to decline over time as accessible deposits become depleted. But while natural resources tend to decline gradually over hundreds of years, Bitcoin compresses that decline into a much shorter timeframe with a built in exponential increase in scarcity.
Like it or loathe it, Bitcoin really is an elegantly designed concept. | someuwin

11/2/2024 17:43:38 | You’ll find few of those traits in most politicians Wan, all as bad as each other, whatever party, colour or creed. Why I generally steer a wide berth. | riggerbeautz
11/2/2024 16:25:27 | decency, morality, honesty, good manners, respect for other people, right and wrong, decorum, politeness, kindness, generosity, empathy, charitable, compassionate, sincere, trustworthy, wholesome, warmhearted, helpful, friendly.... hmmm | wanobi
11/2/2024 15:59:38 | The end of the Ukraine war is a neutral Ukraine. Putin will not allow NATO to take over the rump. That was the original peace agreement. Seems very reasonable doubt if NATO will agree though unless Trump is in power | pogue
11/2/2024 13:51:38 | Bozzy I didn't see your post re who next for the Democrats. I reckon it's Mrs Obama. Woman and black but has half a brain which is more than the current VP plus has the celebrity factor Americans appear to like. Her policies will be given to her obviously so won't be something she has to worry about. | pogue
11/2/2024 13:50:48 | i do not know why anyone would believe what a politician says | arab3
11/2/2024 13:36:16 | I doubt he would to be honest Wan it's just sabre rattling as he hates other NATO countries not paying what they signed up to do namely put 2% of thier GDP in defence. I really can see any country attacking a NATO country because Trump tells them. | pogue
11/2/2024 13:05:53 | apols, I should be clearer in my posts,,, it's the,,
"in fact I would encourage them to do whatever they want"
comment,, that saddens me!!

11/2/2024 12:57:13 | Trump wants to make America great again as he says. To do that he wants to stop America from being the defence force for other countries. Perfectly reasonable why should American taxpayers pay for other countries defences if they won't do it themselves? If a NATO country was invaded all the others, except a Trump America, would protect it so it is still a deterrent. Less American involvement in world affairs would mean less wars as it's mainly them that start them. Last war no one can dispute who started it was the Iraq war we could argue on others. That was declared an illegal war but no one was ever prosecuted. There are others but a debate would be needed.
Edit Should be noted Biden's America wants to protect non NATO countries with US tax $ when they are struggling with massive poverty at home. I would think any reasonable US taxpayer would want a US president that focused on thier own internal problems with drugs and poverty | pogue
11/2/2024 12:39:20 | I hear that,,,
Donald Trump has said he would "encourage" Russia to attack any Nato member that fails to pay its bills as part of the Western military alliance.
He recalled that the leader of a "big country" had presented a hypothetical situation in which he was not meeting his financial obligations within Nato and had come under attack from Moscow.
Mr Trump said the leader had asked if the US would come to his country's aid in that scenario, which prompted him to issue a rebuke.
"I said: 'You didn't pay? You're delinquent?'... 'No I would not protect you, in fact I would encourage them to do whatever they want. You gotta pay.'"
what a world we live in!!

11/2/2024 12:35:36 | DP I have posted videos now and in the past proving all these points from telephone calls by US administrators choosing who they would make president to first hand interviews with the real, paid for, fascists that turned the Maiden protest to a armed revolution. You choose to ignore basic facts and listen to the narrative of those that profit from war. I find it odd for a lawyer you have not got an inquisitive mind. Putin is no saint but he is not the problem in the world right now. He had warned the West for years not to expand NATO into Ukraine and had a peace deal to make Ukraine neutral which the West made Zelensky turn away from to bring on the mass slaughter we have now. This only benefits those that supply the arms and who will get the assets of Ukraine for peanuts when it's over. Imagine Russia were to put missiles in Cuba what would the US do? Oh wait. .. | pogue
11/2/2024 12:00:15 | I want Kennedy to win though at the FLOTUS would then be the actress who played Larry David's wife in Curb your Enthusiasm. That would be a new peak of absurdity. | donald pond
11/2/2024 11:10:43 | DP I am surprised you accuse Russia of expansionism how many former soviet states have NATO moved into despite agreeing not to when the USSR fell? | pogue

11/2/2024 10:05:58 | THE INTERVIEW
Anyone care to actually comment on what Putin said.
I assume a lot of the detractors have not watched it.
This is the best review/analysis I have seen so fR.
This one comes second. The Duran. | 11_percent
11/2/2024 09:50:57 | Excellence Look at this video by JFK Jnr it explains the American involvement in the Ukraine war simply. He has spent his life as a lawyer fighting the big corporations in America.
Edit DP I am surprised you are arguing with me re Ukraine as you agree with me that JFK Jnr is the best Presidential candidate and he is strongly against the war | pogue
11/2/2024 08:39:55 | On your comment excellence, I remember Bismarck spent much of his time concerned with Africa because he believed if he could tie Britain and France up in African troubles it was advantageous to Germany. It's what politicians do. If Putin wins in Ukraine he won't stop there. The Baltic states know that. It's the old Lenin thing: you push the blade until you find resistance.I do find the idea that anybody wants to live under Putins rule interesting. Evidence suggests anyone young and educated is trying to leave. People generally don't voluntarily choose to move from flawed democracies to authoritarian regimes. | donald pond
11/2/2024 08:32:22 | On Gavin Newsome, the general view in the US is that California is a failing state. San Francisco in particular is falling apart. There is no doubt Biden is declining fast and Trump is not far behind. I can't believe that will end up being the choice. | donald pond
