I agree Rb,, I just don't want 'would be' investors to see AAZ as a sure bet,,, that's all.... I think it's important to understand there are risks,, no matter how confident us longer termers are right now,, is the point I'm trying to make :-) Cheers Wan :-)

edit,,, long termers & medium termers like me LOL LOL

Wan so too are good things, positive smiley stuff, happy times/places yadda, yadda etc. Don’t always agree with cmb but he nails the expect good things is a better way to enjoy a limited life span than always look over your shoulders. Sure bad things happen, mitigate risk, but you just got to be positive in outlook or what’s the point to investing, life, you name it. Ducking hate doom mongers at times me ;0)

What is the risk factor Wan?;
Everything in life is a risk factor. We can get runover crossing a road on a zebra crossing! So just expect the good things in life. I don't worry about too many scenarios anymore.
Live life as the best we can and worry about tomorrow when tomorrows' news arrives.

I certainly believe and trust their (AAZ mgt) word and intentions,,, however, achieving such,, may not be within their control,,,, no matter how hard they try!!!!

fingers crossed, their dreams come true :-) :-)

we shall see :-)

there's always risk!!!

Cheers

Wan' of course you will be back :-). Any news about a deal and you will of course jump back in.
I do my own thing as you know.
Many wrong decisions and some right ones too. AAZ definitely a right choice. :-) I wish us all good luck with AAZ. Especially as the BoD says "We will become a Mid Tier Copper Miner". I believe them fully.

Jeanesy, I think XF-73 situation will be resolved this year so fingers crossed for you and me.
It is worth reading the Alliance News on the LSE thread. Patience is what I have told myself.
So I will let myself tuck DEST away for the time being.
Though I have been known to be wrong many times.

MM's were trying to control the price today....with a 1p drop in mid price midday....trying to make it look like the price was softening....definitely a head shake.....they weren't fooling anyone !!

Good timing on your recent top ups Wan!
I took a small qty but at 52p so again, very happy so far. January was the “expected̶1; approval for the TD raise, so news can’t be too far away.

US 10 year bond yield looks like its going to around 3%. Should be good for gold/ markets.

I agree, it's just a matter of time and how far the contents will fly. Good to see gold back around $2050, despite the FED playing hard to get.

@DP
Yes for sure. It’s difficult to know how the share price will react when the news on the dam comes out. The accumulation and the facts of the situation tell me a strong re-rate is logical but we’ll still be in a company not paying a dividend unlike before (albeit probably not a long term situation). We’ll also be on the cusp of a significant re-rate to production levels (with richer ore than we’ve had for years) and a second mine which could start, what in mining terms, is virtually overnight.

In the meantime, bargains to be had, especially if you view the investment in anything other than short term windows.
