indeed baddeal … pretty sure Conroy has used AAZ as a stalking horse.
However, our interest in Ireland may have helped focus Az govt. on our requests in Az so, it may all work out for the best.

One thing I'm convinced about though …. Reza & our listed company would not be up for the 'under the table' deals necessary to get things done in Ireland, whereas a privately held Turkish outfit will have no problem 'financially lubricating' the necessary Irish cogs.

We move on & I believe better off without the diddly men to contend with

I'm pleased with the termination, the very fact that cgnr released details of another jv at the same time poses some worrying questions about the nature of what would have been our jv partner; in discussion with aaz but cutting another deal at the same time. Not the sort of folk we should do business with imho.Now let's concentrate on what we have in az and get production up. It's what the market wants to see and it is what will drive our considerable potential.

If they sell the CGNR shares now they'll make north of 20k. I suppose that will cover some of their expenses doing dd and setting up the deal.

I see conroy have signed another deal with Demir Export A.S. proposing Joint Venture Partnership. Maybe Conroy was trying to play Demir off against AAZ to get a better deal.

Great news, was never happy with the Conroy venture and especially now the occupied territories are open. Just need the PSA done and dusted now as we must have news flow ready by now.

I'm sure they made a penny or two from the shares they got in Conroy. I thought mining in Ireland was nothing but trouble after what happened to Galantus Gold.

Great news imo concentrate on the 8m oz with full government support, much better chances of being that to production anytime soon than Ireland which could take years

WOW portfolio looking good today RMM, I3E, DDDD, XTR, ECR, TRIN all looking good UFO, AMC signs of life in them today but the one i bought a month ago ARE for a punt up 52% now not sure how much it can go but tempted to take some profit, Also bit of talk saying ECR results for the first hole will be out next week could be grades of 15g/t or more, price reacting to news or rumour who knows///AV

Yes i am also happy for this JV to have been dropped.
Things have changed big time since that JV was first announced.
I see most if not all holders and posters are of the same opinion.

I wonder if the Azeri government told us to drop this as a precondition to a PSA extension. As in we will give you the time and territory you want here but only if you agree to focus on Azerbaijan

I'm glad this has happened - always thought it would be a sideshow diverting management time, and that planning problems would stop it coming into being.

Given the negotiating issues AAZ has had, I think they've decided to let the Irish get on with it. 100 per cent of nothing is nothing.

I said at the time, Conroy came with a lot of history, and not much of it good. They have enough to go after with any capital with their own projects.

Yep, things changed massively after the initial talks with Conroy.

Bigger fish. More fish. Easier to catch. Nearer to the home port.

Let's see how the share price reacts. I'm ready to add if we slip 10-15p as a result of the RNS.

Just fine by me.
Was never bothered either way.
It was a cheap option, but wouldn’t have come to fruition for 5-10 years.
We now have much bigger fish to fry.
