26/2/2021 18:05 | Gotta rush, have my covid jab in 20 minutes. Will post the yearly comp for Feb tomorrow | odsjp
26/2/2021 18:05 | Week 16 results are here and they are pretty dire... Only three stocks were above 10% this week: PRE (up 18.35%) - Well done me. First time I have had the highest share for a week and the largest percentage change. XTR (up 16.81%) - Well done ODR, avsome1968, e43, Brasso3, Qaz PXC (up 15%) - Well done Pants and Jeansey No real changes in the overall leaderboard. Fez still comfortable in the lead even with a 30% fall in kr1. KS had another good week with a stronger 2nd place. All original ARB pickers are still in the lead with six figure balances. Avsome has overtaken Mattjos in the non crypto world but both with balances starting with 7. Week 16 - Finish | odsjp
26/2/2021 17:46 | Hi Mattjos - i've also been following gold and was expecting a downward break of the Fib level near $1764. It has now occurred and i'd say the next level is $1690, both the 38.2 % Fib level and the bottom of the channel since mid 2020. I have real difficulty seeing it go lower than this but who knows? | polaris
26/2/2021 17:00 | Hopefully $1500 - will buy some more in that case. Should be about June all the inflation kicks in and yield curve control is needed. | bonio10000
26/2/2021 16:52 | Which is exactly what he wanted to happen. Quote taken from jsmineset site. Quote from Eddie George, Governor Bank of England in 1999, when BoE dropped 400 tones of Gold, 50% of the BoE’s gold on the market: “We looked into the abyss if the gold price rose further. A further rise would have taken down one or several trading houses, which might have taken down all the rest in their wake. Therefore at any price, at any cost, the central banks had to quell the gold price, manage it. It was very difficult to get the gold price under control but we have now succeeded. The US Fed was very active in getting the gold price down. So was the U.K.” | katsy
26/2/2021 16:47 | any pog predictions anyone? according to one analysis i was reading a few days back if 1750 goes then 1500 coming? | doc_oj
26/2/2021 16:45 | Well don't post much but do agree on the CPX comments, long term this should be a great company bought a few more at 8.98. If it were to fall more would buy a few more. As for telling peeps your trading pattern, you only have to look at Gordon Brown telling the markets the UKs gold is for sale (look what happened to the price, LoL). | royalalbert
26/2/2021 16:41 | STCM blue,,, wahhayy,,, not much else though LOL,, oh well, funny old week,,, and now over to you/odsjp for the competition,,, which should make for an interesting read I guess,,, thanx all for your continued contributions and support of this thread, wishing you all a fine weekend, cheers Wan :-) | wanobi

26/2/2021 16:06 | Well not a good finish to the week but took a few profits today just incase this fall isn't a blip. Jeanesy i wanted to buy into CPX thought i missed the boat nice to get a second chance let's look for the bottom 8p i will take a few if it gets to that level. | avsome1968
26/2/2021 15:38 | Bought some silver this morning, a tad premature, but hey ho the story of my life. 1oz gold getting very close to £1300 to buy. | katsy
26/2/2021 15:38 | that looks like it for today here. MM's packed up for the weekend here and left it on 10p spread | mattjos
26/2/2021 15:24 | The increasing demand for physical delivery must surely at some point cause a hiatus where the physical is simply not available, and the paper market will be exposed for the scam it is. No doubt those calling for their gold will be fobbed off with fiat, but confidence will be dashed. It would seem to be only a matter of time before the games up. | lefrene
26/2/2021 15:13 | Lets hope COMEX paper traders really over reach themselves and properly tank the gold price. Then the price of real world physical and crimex pricing will who up for what it is...a fraud. | katsy
26/2/2021 15:04 | can neither Buy or Sell 1,000 shares all of a sudden …. no problem few mins ago | mattjos
26/2/2021 14:05 | I totally agree Yas. As for CPX I still hold , but am losing money for now. I suspect some that were talking it up big time have left the party though !! It is not a pretty sight atmo. I thought the interims might help but the shares are well down this week !! | jeanesy
26/2/2021 14:03 | Serious churn at cbx, bode well for a rise next week? | jbe81
26/2/2021 13:57 | I just went for a 4.5 mile run around my park. I haven't run semi-regularly since June(!) - unsurprisingly my 'cross-country' mile time has gone up from 7m 43s to 9m 29s today - ouch! Thankfully, I haven't put weight on though due to sensible eating.. | king suarez
26/2/2021 13:17 | everything subservient to the action in the Bond markets this week .. they look to be stabilising a bit today as some CB's showing early signs of wading in to prop up the Bid for govt. debt. Next week, UK will be fixated on the Budget, the Chancellor's speech likely to last longer than the entirety of England first innings in next test match. Who knows when next news will be from AAZ but, at least Reza & the BOD do not have to expend any further time or effort on Conroy. More than plenty to go at in Az for years to come | mattjos |
