Steve westheads findings would have been predictable and trustworthy.
Mr Conroy wasn’t either and is onto the next potential victim.
The Turks won’t be as graceful as our board.

Stevea,
if Clontibret ore is so refractory as you suggest, I wonder why Steven Westhead recommended it to the board out of all the prospects they must have looked at, he must have examined it much more closely than any body here.

Mr. Roper - if indeed they attract a big Pharma name in the next 1 - 12 weeks, the current gains in the S.P. will be insignificant imo. Well that's what I'm hoping for.

Egon von Greyerz. Commodities. Since 2006, the money creation has gone exponential.
The pure definition of inflation is growth in money supply. But until recently, only asset classes such as stocks, bonds and property have seen major inflation. Normal consumer prices have officially only increased by marginal percentages, even though most of us are experiencing much higher inflation than the official figures.

But now commodity prices are warning us that inflation is here with a vengeance. For example, agricultural product inflation is up 50% since last May. This hasn’t yet reached consumer prices in a major way but it soon will. And if we look at commodity prices in general, they are up 100% since the April 2020 bottom.

If we look at commodity prices vs stocks, we can see in the chart below that commodities are at a 50 year low with a massive upward potential which is an advance warning of a major inflationary period lurking.

Most commodities will go up dramatically in price, including food and energy.

Investors who have been reading my articles will know that the best investment for benefiting from inflation and simultaneously preserving wealth are precious metals stocks as well as physical gold, silver and platinum.

Tuesday was options expiry on the Comex. Yesterday was options expiry on LBMA/OTC.

So shenanigans probably over for now. I expect the PM's to start bouncing back hard next week.

I picked up another 10k shares late yesterday just above mid so the 10p spread was just a MM illusion as is often the case ....

Good call on scancell. Martin Diggle at Vulpes is a good operator and has been a big part of the turnaround at Oxb

Hope this might be of interest:
As you can see my choice is Scancell (SCLP). I doubt many will know much about it as it is developing difficult to cure cancer drugs and making great progress. It has been able to use this science to create a second generation Covid-19 vaccine which will shortly be going into a Phase One trial. It is fully funded for that having raised, mainly from two big investors, Vulpes & Redmile, £48m in H2-2020. But they will need a big Pharma partner to help with the Phase Two trial & manufacturer etc. The following is a good summary posted on LSE recently. I cut it back a bit.

"In my view we will see a deal here in the next 1-12 weeks.
Probably a partnership deal".

"So here is my prediction.
Scancell are one of the leaders at the forefront of the second generation of covid vaccines that desperately need to be developed, with a radically new method of action. There are, as said on the presentation today, many drug companies who missed out on the first generation vaccines who will be pounding at the door desperate to be in on this. Scancell need a partner asap to make sure that they can progress from Phase 1 to Phase 2/3 this year. A deal will be done and it will be done soon. The share price will then be nowhere near current levels. No certainties of course and DYOR, but this is my strongly held view. And fortunately, this is just a side product for Scancell (soon not to be) , so there is very good residual value if I am wrong and if things don't go as I expect".

Yearly comp - Feb results
Unsurprisingly very mixed but with crypto at the top. Remember this is the hare and 10 months to go. Anything can change in that time.

Hi everyone. I've been following this thread for a while and just thought I'd say hello. I'm not currently a holder of AAZ but have been in the past and expect to be again in the future. I'm always on the lookout for potentially undervalued metals and mining companies, which is why I find your thread interesting. Anyway, I thought that seeing as I have benefited from some of the research you guys have done and posted on here, I might start to participate and potentially share some ideas with you (for whatever they're worth!)

yasX,

Interesting post, especially the second paragraph. Many voices stating that one company or another is a fantastic investment doesn't necessarily mean that, fundamentally, it is. Only the official results released by any company in the bulletin board spotlight, so to speak, will give the true picture.

Now, one company that is never discussed in any length by posters on any bulletin boards other than its 'home' board is PPC. This is a company with exceptionally good cash flow and great ambition. I would say this as I am an investor.

But, if anyone would care to take a good look at PPC they will see that it is being built into a very robust and cash making concern, with a very solid and impressive large shareholders list.

It is very close now to finalising the farm-out of assets held in Paraguay to a substantial and reputable National Oil Company and, something that has just been announced, it has formed a company, Atome Limited, which will be "focusing on developing a hydrogen and ammonia production, marketing and sales business". They have appointed Mary-Rose de Valladares as a director to this company, a company which "in due course will have an independent board experienced in alternative energy".

One day the market will wake up to recognise just how much a bargain PPC is at current valuation.

I'm only one voice, but if anyone cares to look, it might prove to be time well spent.

PPC

No one likes us, we don't care!

Pp.

Re my earlier post.

Think there is a bit of mistaken interpretation. I have not suggested anyone should declare when they are selling - of course if one is offloading into any illiquid share declaring it in advance is plainly a silly thing to do. I am certainly not even remotely suggesting anyone declares what they are selling since it is of no interest to me.

My point was a general one to readers in that they should be cautious in assuming that if a dozen or so people on here are suddenly and simultaneously shouting about the next share of the century to bet the farm on and which should be held for the next 20 years etc - do not get lured in by that but assess matters by application of your own judgement of the Co. I referred to CPX as a case in point (it was talked about by virtually everyone on here at the start of January as the best long term investment, yet when the results came out not one comment on it). The corollary of my foregoing comment is that most of those that were declaring it as the next best thing since sliced bread were likely not betting the farm on it and certainly not for the long term.

As Wanobi pointed out, everyone is responsible for their own decision making - if anyone is foolish enough to load up simply because a dozen others on here are then so be it.

For the record, I hold CPX, and that is based solely on my assessment of it (though I am grateful to Mattjos for initially referring to it on here).

It’s called conformation bias. Investors want to hear that all’s ok.
ConRoy’s has previous form.
He is similar to delorean, knows how to sell a dream, but at least delorean got something to production.
The Turks won’t be as courteous or as tolerant of the post handshake wriggling.

Link to a very enthusiastic interview with Richard Conroy, in which he states it was CGNR who broke off negotiations with AAZ following the Turkish approach, which he considers a much better deal, not the other way around.

Hi Polaris ... will have another crack at deciphering the Gold chart later. Feels like it has been an outlier week in some ways. Lots of possible explanation being put forward but, i think it’s all down to the Bond market.

Biden has wasted no time before the rockets and bullets are once again flying in the Middle East - usually a good sign for the markets so, lets see what next week/new month brings
