Nice to see all those sells going through on that little rise.
Lets get rid of the dead wood and move them onto those wealth managers.

No chance the MMs feel sorry for anyone.
The share price put its head just outside the range again for only the third time since feb.
They soon kicked it back down.

When I wrote my book on coping with quarantine ( my Twitter reach led to at least 5 direct sales.
Wonder if this will be more effective:

If we all agree to increase our holdings by 5% today then that will put an end to the 140p level.

You can over analyse things but on 23 June we heard:

"However, the Company has been actively investigating several opportunities and negotiations are at an advanced stage for one potential joint venture. I look forward to making further announcements about this shortly when the negotiations are concluded."

Earlier this week Bill confirmed everything was on track and it was just a matter of finalising paperwork (with the caveat of course that until it is signed, its not 100% certain).

But "shortly" to me indicates, well, within a month. And we are now 17 days from that announcement. So there must be a good chance that the JV news drops next week.

why would MMs want to deter traders though?

I’m guessing the intentional large spread is purposefully deterring traders rather than investors as they’ve enjoyed many a meal the last year as speculation surrounding govt talks fuelled the gossip..

Its all a bit chicken and egg but I do think the share price losing momentum coincided with the MMs using the spread tactically. When they push it to 10p, they know that nobody buys or sells. When it goes to 2p, volume increases sharply. I hope Euan can find a way to improve this, because it is absolutely ridiculous and deters most sensible investors. Companies such as AAU, SHG, TSG have a much smaller market cap and much smaller spread. It is outrageous, and imo the biggest single factor holding the share price back.

Hi Wan,

Sorry, haven't really got time to go into those PTAL results in detail (only a small holding for me also) but I thought they looked pretty good - demonstrating the high margins achieved and reassuring that the contingent liability has reduced quite a bit with the bounce back in oil prices. Think they will be good going forward once production re-starts.

In summary, they would have made a profit around $10m without the 'derivative loss' from the oil price drop (contingent liability on future sales) and also generated around $15m of cash flow for the quarter in the lower oil price environment so pretty good?

Normal service is resumed at AAZ. The spread continues to be ridiculous, perhaps to deter those trading it ?

Kefi are worth a look if anyone is interested. I have watched them go no-where for a lot of years but they do seem to be getting their act together now. Worth a punt hence me taking a small position for now.
