Matt, that's what I've been saying for ages...the good thing from a trading perspective is a big flat base. If we can break out the potential is significant but the bulls are getting stale

So a few traders are holding the price down, come on. the spread would make it almost impossible to make any money here.
There are a lot of gold miners you could trade with a very tight spread.
Also if it were them holding the price back making penneys instead of pounds by not trading their trading pot they must be mad.

PIs may be selling out of boredom, but the price action here for a year means traders would not touch this.

PUR are providing an object lesson in managing news flow. None of this "we hit two bonanza seams but are going to double check the results and not mention it again" nonsense

gf1 - there are plenty of 5p ers still here, mostly with 6 or even 7 figures numbers of shares.

My basic rule of thumb is when you apply the PSA and tax we generate about 43k GEO. So the $30 that gold has put on since yesterday is, if it remained that way over the year, worth about 1.3m to us or about 1p per share in profit

Each to there own goldfinger. I have been here since the 5p days thank you ! I know who else was there too. I know some have many many shares. It is easy for them to trade a few. Also when you have that number , the max you can normally sell is about 25, 30k . Have you not seen the spread on a normal day ? that is precisely why and precisely my point , they don't want people doing it if it can be helped !

Apeman

The Camel is definitely curious.

But whilst he has helped himself to all the luxuries in other tents.

He has reserved AAZ as the place he takes a dump.

no not having that theory.
I think you will find most PIs who bought at 5p+ would have sold probably a long time before the even had doubled their money.
I am not saying all but the majority would have.

Have you been watching the price action here for the last year?
There are not many shares out there. if a wealthy person want a few million here its hard to get them. The MMs are not stupid,if they thought people were buying and selling for a very small profit they would put the price up and price them out.

Its clear to me someone is buying up any shares people are selling.
But we all have our opinions.

Gold up $14.50 today now, so $1810.
Yet AAZ 4p down. ?
Maybe we are making to much money.?

FWIW I agree jeanesy.
I know of at least one holder who has played a trading wedge as well as a main investment. He may have made a decent wedge, I’m not sure I’ve never asked, however it has definitely affected sentiment here.
The proliferation of trading here has expanded greatly the last year, only exacerbated recently by Covid and all the time on people’s hands.
They read stories and ideas and all think they’ll become traders easy as that.

I was finding it frustrating recently but I’ve moved past that again now. It is what it is. They will do as they please of course. I just have to find solace in the fact that each of my shares is going to make a ridiculous percentage of its current price in just one years earnings.

maybe jeanesy,,, who knows :-) LOL,,, but, tis frustrating that Gold finally breaks through 1800 and AAZ is sold off, not bought into,,, maybe folks think Gold is too high now and it's time to take profits,,,, who knows, but, to me it's still all to play for with AAZ & the Gold price,,,, one day we'll wake up and AAZ will be up 50p,,,,, LOL,,, I hope, fingers crossed :-) LOL,,,, Cheers Wan :-)

I have just posted on the other BB my thoughts on AAZ

'Don't post on here as a rule anymore , but still look in. I think some of you newbies are forgetting that some investors here bought back in the days when these were 5p. 20k , 50k is small beer to some of them now and therefore the shareprice can easily be played. I believe that is why the MM's have such a big spread and have for a while . It is clear to me that it is PI's that are to blame for what is going on here. Value will hopefully be seen here eventually. It may take some sort of buyout though imo'

I truely believe that some are playing games and that is why we have been range bound for a while !!

PSA extension renewal process requires us to submit by next March & then the govt has up to 12 months to make its mind up so, if that is what folk are waiting for then, suggest you simply stop looking and come back in 20 months time. By which time the share price likely be exactly same as today and gold will be over $1,900.

LTH for many years and added yesterday. I can not see much price movement here until the licences for the Contract Areas are extended. How can Life of Mine be extended beyond licence agreement end date? Likewise, why publish good news before negotiations to extend the licences are agreed? Too much good news may lead to the Government seeking a better reward! Should not be too long. Hang on in but dyor.

am beginning to wonder if we have now switched and become a cucumber grower in Azerbaijan rather than a Gold, Copper & Silver miner.

Gold still not yet breaking out to new recent highs in GBP, EUR, CAD, AUD, RUB.

But, it is doing so in USD & CNY so, it's seems to be continuing $ weakness that is pushing Gold higher in USD & CNY is pretty much paired to USD.

Last Gold Peak was $1,900 during Q4 of 2011. Back then the US Dollar Index/Basket was circa 7400.
Today Gold is at $1,800 and Dollar Basket is at 9679.

If the Dollar basket drops back to the 7400 level, that would be a 23.5% fall from here …. the inverse would be a 23.5% gain for Gold in $ terms to $2,223.

Quite what GB£ might do in the same timescale would seem to be largely based on terms of BREXIT

Eyes on TOOP..... update tomorrow.

Recent acquisitions may have already contributed to turnover.

Currently priced to go bust. But this could all change tomorrow by multiples.

As ways. Only risk what you can only afford to loss..............

At circa $1200 gross profit and 200 oz per day, $10's of millions in the bank and no debts, one can at least not worry about the health of the company, whilst one speculates the why's and wherefores of the strangely low market capitalisation.

With ETF's and other players in New York apparently going for gold, it would seem likely that gold will continue to appreciate against a fiat dollar.
