I'm beginning to think I backed the wrong horse (AAZ)! What will it take for it to motor? Unloved it seems.

Madfoetus and Rigger, have you seen PXC this morning? It's obvious that someone is selling large batches(maybe for financial reasons), but the underlying drive is up and up!

Just on the off chance you've not read this portion of the recent [AGM] letter
from RV to shareholders:

"The original Gedabek discovery [i.e. the Gedabek main open pit - 2S] within the production sharing agreement currently extends to March 2022, but it can be extended for a further 10 years and we have already started the formalities for this extension. The Company expects this renewal to be routine and in accordance with the existing agreement. We continue to operate the Gedabek mine on the basis that an extension is forthcoming."

Basically, each distinct mine has its own 'life' + extension[s] within the PSA
pertaining to each contract area.
So, after the main pit, Gadir [2028? - producing since 2015 but the ko date is the prior submission for development approval day] and then Ugur will come up for renewals; Gosha about 1 year before Gadir.

The Board did their best to allay concerns a couple of weeks ago around the AGM, in due course one expects to see news appear confirming the Boards expectations.

After 10 years of building their Virtual Tumour Cancer model Physiomics finally seem set for the big time

The chart shows a long 10 year basing pattern. The November 2017 3000% move just looks like a blip !

By my calculations Physiomics PYC should be trading at between 25 - 53p per share based on comparison multiples versus Global Peer group (Simulations Plus SLP and Schrodinger SDGR)

Anybody can do this research.

Thank you.

Makes sense - just trying to work out if the "uncertainty premium" is the weight on the price.

Not in my opinion.
The country wants to encourage non oil business. We are one of the top companies in all of Azerbaijan for our contributions to their state coffers outside of the oil sector.
They want further investment into the country. They’re smart enough (the govt) to realise we can invest our cash pile and future cash pile in Az or somewhere else.

No doubt some would say nothing is guaranteed til deals are signed. Frankly I reckon stuff isnt guaranteed even then. What about all those billions that were guaranteed to exist at WireCard? Investing is partly about risk. Is it a material chance? No, IMO. Is it a chance? Yes. Miniscule.

Sorry my reply is the same as others, was distracted as typing my response. Cross posted.

The Azeri government has never wrong footed the oil industry which has been in the country for over a century, and AAZ has the same deal as the oil industry. AAZ brings in a good income to the Azeri government whilst they lose money on their own captive gold miner Azerigold. It would not benefit the Azeri's to try to turn the screws on AAZ, but it would help improve their tax revenues if they put Azerigold under AAZ management, however AAZ might not care for the politics that might entail. Plus the Azeri's wish to encourage foreign investment in their country, and "adjusting" contracts would have the opposite effect.

I very much doubt it.
We have been given a lot of news over the last year, but nothing as of yet concrete.
But i have no doubt that concrete will start to flow soon.

I assume there is no material chance of the lease not being renewed or terms being adjusted unfavourably?

Good morning all.

Cybernest53,yes some have held PUR longer. This thread is for sharing information and when I made my investment in PUR I mentioned it on here. The only other holder was RB from this thread. Anyway good luck to all in whatever you hold.
Some hold and some don't hold PUR.
Everyone to their own.
GLA and ATB.

Very annoyd this morning having put in the leg work to find EQT doing a PrimaryBid at a 33% discount. Obvs shares plunge in the near term but hopefully the company left in a much better position. I have participated but feel somewhat cheated.

Quite happy with STCM, its unloved but I love that divi.

Good morning all. Just cast you mind back and remember how difficult it was for AAZ to crack the 40p barrier....
We will soon crack the £140.00 border and then to new grounds.
No one likes the slow progress, Covid19 must have slowed advance somewhat.
We are lucky we been able to keep producing and generate substantial profits.
We know where we are going, waiting is our only game now.

Somebody posted been trading here in 2002, Just for the record we listed in 2005 and I have been here since.
