Next move up will move quick imo positive news could land any day now and every day gold is at these levels AAZ gets cheaper and further undervalued, look how it stuck around 40 before moving onwards, next big move will be over 2 when it breaks out above 150

It is so easy to manipulate the prices here in the auctions. If you have DMA and stock in your account or together with a collaborator … you can pretty much set the Opening & Closing price yourself.
Shove a handful onto the book at 139 and then bid for your own stock or, get your mate to do so. There is just about never any 'active' competition for stock in the auctions here & certainly won't be for 200 shares, like today.

It's as simple as that and I've proved to myself it can be done, if you have a mind to do so. For what ulterior motive, other than to try and range-bind a stock, I really don't know.

I'm sure some people set limit on exchange buys for the auction processes and forget they are still there, even if the price has moved since they first set them but, that is not usually the case here.

No idea what the game is but, there was all sorts of tricks going on here 2-3 years ago.
I personally do not accept that there are no other notifiable holders here .. i suppose you might argue that certain people here, if labelled a 'concert party', would comfortably exceed more than one notifiable threshold but, other than chewing the cud here with others, we are not a concert party unless there was ever an in-extremis event which might persuade us to circle the wagons.

Who knows and frankly I'm increasingly beyond speculating about it. It's the market, it's AIM & no one in authority actually gives a monkeys what goes on day to day.

Katsy, only a 6monther ,my observation here is many sellers of AAZ don't seem to value their shares very highly.MM's know they're soft touches who will take a low bid.ps if you don't need the money immediately try putting a limit on your price a couple of pence higher than you're offered on screen, on a good day for gold they're always buyers who will pay more

katsy, been like that here for just about as long as most of us can remember now. (Over 5 years since a Holdings declaration after Bashirov went to Zero).

It feels like there's a sell order being filled. The flurry of sells this morning 20k 5k 27k 15k 29k 23k 16k 10k in a few minutes, plus some after-hours reported trades of between 50k and 100k.

It won't hold the company back. Just might provide the opportunity to buy more at a decent P/E and divi yield.

I'm sure all you long termers have seen this all before but I'm finding the trading here all very confusing. The bid/offer was 1.31-135 and quite a few took the 1.35 with very little taking the 1.31. then the offer goes up to 1.40 and then loads take the 1.31. It's almost like somebody doesn't want this to rise and all this on the back of increasing gold prices.

JSE finally getting back to true value, Wan! I bought at 56p, rode it up and the all the way down, and happy to be back in profit.I think some great upside potential moving forward on that one. A bit disappointed that my RRE plan was ruined by a takeover, but JSE have stated their intention to buy distressed assets, and could follow a similar strategy very well over the medium term

I don’t know how long this piece of string is, but we’re dealing with a shorter piece rather than a longer piece
Very helpful eh?

Buy gold 2000 - your £1,000 turns into £7,000 by 2011

At which point you buy stocks. If you're clever, a Nasdaq tracker: your £7,000 is by October 2018 worth £28,000

at which point you buy gold, and by now, it is worth £42,000

That's 3 decisions in 20 years.
