In the meantime mm’s are filling their book for expectant news and maybe a buyer in the wings.

Aaz are first rate and can only believe that hanging onto SPA and Bill’s presentation style suit their strategy for the time being.

If ordinary folk can see the failings in SPA and Bill’s not a care in the world approach then I’m absolutely sure the other bod (given their caliber and standing)are fully aware.

Mattjos has pointed out many times that the bod are astute businessmen, at times it doesn’t seem like that.

Come on bod shake a stick at it.

I've just watched the presentation and I think people have summed it up quite well already.

It feels to me like recent discoveries + extension at current mines over the next few years are to provide cash flow (and dividends) whilst concurrent exploration goes on at Ordubad.

Doesn't feel like there is any firm commitment to increasing production near term (unless something dramatic shows up) - maybe to 100k GEO oz equivalent. This is somewhat juxtaposition with the aims stated on the website to become a mid-tier producer, so do we assume this is only going to happen IF Ordubad shows enough potential for additional plant and/or an aquisition outside Azer?

Does anyone have a feel for the likely cost of bringing any of these 5 discoveries into production (don't recall Ugur costing significant sums?). Seems to be a mix of open pit and underground potential.

Feels like it will be a slower burner than I'd hoped. I'm reassured there will be enough to continue 'as is' (which is currently undervalued anyway) for years and years and to come, but I want to see some plan to get to the next tier - guess it will be another year or two as Ordubad is drilled up before we get anything firm on that, or do people think we'll get a plan sooner?

Funny you should mention the divi just now dp.
I'd dripped in another 2k 134p thinking at least there's 4.75% yield
and about as good a prospect of it at least not being cut over next few years
as anything else about.

I'm expecting a healthy rise in share price ....some time.

Say Hardman come up with a well written report and a target, lets say of £2
or at least close to it.
How much buying will that attract?

Even SPA could come up with a target say 170p, seeing they keep rating
it a 'buy'.
But like you said, prob. won't elicit much in way of new investors.

The only logical thing is that the board expect news imminently which is company changing.
Because otherwise, the biggest news the company has is its dividend. Increasing that to 4.5c for the half, 8c for the whole year, a 14% increase and 5% yield, in an environment of shrinking dividends, was a huge, positive piece of news.
And yet, no broker support at all. I mean, what the actual?

The share price action is simple. There is nothing out there to attract new investors. No brokers notes, and I doubt any meetings lined up with key institutions. We are also now in a position where anybody looking to invest meaningfully in AAZ will ask why it is about the worst performing company in the sector over the last 12 months. Given the spread and the lack of liquidity, you really need to have a compelling story to turn the time of perception, and Bill on Proactive won't do it.

Yes, in the long term the market is a weighing machine. But in the short term, it is a voting machine, and share price Angel's approach to promoting the company is non-existent. So we are clinging on to the hope that one day there will be some item of news that generates the rerating. There should be, but in the meantime, my other gold investments such as AAU and POG have doubled and more over the last 12 months. Even a standard gold fund is up 75%. And AAZ's share price is flat.

That's a question for the AGM:

"The share price has materially underperformed the peer group over the last 12 months, despite a stream of positive news. What are your plans to reverse this trend, and you can assume that for this purpose "continues delivering and wait for the share price to catch up" isn't a sufficient response."

For Bill to specifically mention Broker Notes in last weeks video I thought was significant for Bill. He does not ramp or overpromise. To get them done shows that the Company is looking after Shareholders interests.Obviously he did not want to say that last night as that could be seen as ramping.

News cannot be far away.

The Basic Materials sector, which consists of the Chemicals, Forestry & Paper, Industrial Metals and Mining industries slightly underperformed the market in 2019 and has continued this trend since the pandemic erupted.Nevertheless, resurgent commodity prices and burgeoning demand for specialist chemical products and sophisticated packaging solutions point to a brighter future for the industries within the Basic Materials sector.

I must admit to feeling really torn here. I didn't invest in AAZ because of the dividend, i invested because of the huge growth story that i believed would unfold over the coming years. I started buying at 37p and have bought all the way up to 136p. The share price seems for whatever reason to have hit a ceiling and the dividend whilst welcome has been lost in the last two days fall. I invest for share price growth not income and for that reason have reduced my position.

The proceeds have gone equally into PUR and POG.
